News from HQ

In news just in from HQ -

Grant Goodall resigned as CEO of the SAAFL last night and will leave us later this week.

The Board will meet to discuss our plans for replacement but this process could take a while so in the interim John Kernahan will be acting in the role of CEO.

On a personal note, I personally always had a good working relationship with Grant and wish him the best in his future endeavors

Any posts that aren't proven to be factual and that may damage the reputation of the CEO will be removed.

PS: I'm really hoping the powers that be aren't pulling April 1 jokes on me

I believe all will be revealed shortly in official form. Sorry I can't answer any other questions because I don't know the answers.

Bloody comdians :finga:

Not sure that Grants resignation will affect us on Saturday at all.

I'll betcha a pack of zooper doopers though, if JK hasn't lost or pulled out his hair today, it's gone 4 different shades of grey

Really can't see this disrupting anything. A lot of important things are organised prior to the season. I think the guys will manage just fine til a replacement is found.

Agreed. It may disrupt delegates or bemuse committees but to the bloke chasing the pill or lining up for the sticks I'm not sure he will give two hoots.

I meant disruptive to the league, not to us

And again, would it really be that disruptive to the league? A lot of good work had already been done. It's probably the quiet time for the CEO now that the season has started anyway.....

Correct BOP... the CEO's/office crews season is our off season, they work like buggery over summer so that they only have to take care of housekeeping stuff (tribunal, umps etc) during the season.
