What a joke you have to pay $15 to go watch your club at 9.00am in the morning.

$15 is a bit stiff ill admit but games @ 9am I agree with. The shit that goes on with crowd behaviour in the past 10 years in many leagues has been a disgrace and its amazing no one has been killed. To combat this you have to put games in venues that tick more boxes in the safety of all in attendance.

Yeah, because HV v GG is a real danger game

The only people that should ever play at 9am are under 6's.

Yes, Yes, I know - plenty of others would be happy to take our place ;)

Will we get a pass to go to the next game to watch the d's after watching the b's, Could be expensive if we have to pay twice in one morning. Maybe they could start the d's at 7.00am then we won't have to go any where

Nah, you won't have to pay twice. We'll also have plenty of time to get to the next match too.

Yep, nothing like strapping blokes at 7.30am.

I've already told the man responsible for this he's getting an early morning wake up call. If I have to be awake then so can he

That good then but I won't be spending a cent on food & drink at THEBARTON, i will save my money for the second game so the money goes to club instead of the league.

3 and 4 will be at Thebby

We won't know other grounds until lunch Tuesday. Slim pickings this year.

Because no clubs wanted to be held ransom by the league and pay the $10,000 + they wanted to host a game.

Heard Kenilworth paid a small fortune to host the Div 5 game which is very conveniently located for North Haven supporters who have As and Bs playing.
Fully understand the league has to make money but the football needs to be the priority.

So you would need 100 people paying $100 each to host a grand final ???
Or maybe hit up your Sponser ?? :D

Is it true that div 1 and 2 grand final will be at the same oval and go 2r, 1r, 2 and 1. If so I find it pretty silly that start times have been the same all year and are being changed for the gf. thoughts?

Absolutely ridiculous. If PNU reserves win, the grand final is rumored to be at 9am and the A's will be in the afternoon.
Should have Div 2 reserves and A grade at 1 ground and then Div 1 reserves and A grade at another ground. B's at 12:15 and A's at 2:15. It would only make sense wouldn't it?

What is the leagues reasoning behind this. Is it because of crowd violence @ numerous venues over the last 3-4 years and now this is the best way to control the alcohol issues in the crowd?

Not to be too cynical, but I dare say $$$ provided at least some of the motivation.

It's a hard one either way, obviously Thebarton is the League's premier asset and it makes sense to play as many Grand Finals on it as possible. I however think doing so at the expense of the "normal" A and B Grade playing times for Div 4 upwards might have been a bit much.

I thought last year where they had the Div 3 - 1 Grand Finals at Thebarton on consecutive weeks was the best solution from the Club's perspective. But I'm sure the pain of having to open for an extra week, along with scheduling issues must have made that difficult for this year at least.

I should also add, if I'm getting on the Cans at 9 AM of the B Grade Grand Final (which knowing myself, I will be) I'll be well and truly cooking by 3/4 time of the A Grade at 3:00 pm. I don't suspect this is what the League is after.
