Throw it out there on GF eve in the lower divs but every one dive in.

What's your memories of finals under dogs.....?

Or better yet the **** ups from the teams who should perform better but you love to hate.

Good luck to GF teams tomorrow.

Maybe 86 back in the SAFA comp.
Pooraka beat Payneham by 20 goals in a semi to go straight through to the GF.
Payneham then won their way through for a re match.
Payneham by 11 goals in the granny.

A cutla Pooraka Favourites -
2001 Div 2 - A Scott Hodges led Seaton Ramblers with a star Studded lineup was expected to make short work of the Bulls, however, it was the Bulls who stunned seaton who were never able to recover.
2010 div 4 Reserves - Golden Grove unbackable favourites to win, however no-one told Pooraka, who set about tuning them up to win the flag.

Very similar result in 2008 d5r. Golden grove up by 34 points at 3 qtr time. Plympton won by 2 points

Broadies in 04 has to be the biggest that I've come across.
We beat em by 21 goals in the qualifying final. Then they turned a big half time deficit into a win against Salisbury North in the prelim. Then they beat us by 6 goals in the prelim (yes, a 27 goal turnaround in 2 weeks), then they go on to win the GF.

Salisbury had a shocker in 2011.
Finished top in c4, 4r and div 4.
C4 were undefeated and lost.
4R I think undefeated or close to it and lost.
4 playing 5th placed Kilburn and lost.
3 upsets on the same day!.... Sorry to remind u pag!

Seating Ramblers A2 in 93 GF can't go past this thread without a mention. Won all games through the year and final by 5 goals min and lost the GF.

Hope Valley faithful could quite possibly say 2005 loss to West Croydon was an upset?

salisbury west would prob have a few nightmares, in 2002 div 3..beat woody south by less than a goal in the semi, then lost the grand final to woody south by 123 points at alberton oval. :)

2008 it was 19pts at 3 qtr time not 34 (still an upset though) as we were undefeated during the minor round and u blokes knocked us off in first final and gf.......I still have nightmares!

As do I hefty,

I remember that GF more fondly than any other.

I remember less about the win than all 5 or so losses.

maybe because I got the most drunk for the win?
