The amount of shit that gets posted on here it wouldn't surprise me!

Just seems weird they would pull both sides and not try to maintain a C grade.

So I assume the results thus far stand and moving forward its a 10 goal win to the side receiving the 'Bye'?
Carn maht, when you see 'morell' just up to the right of the stuff you're reading, you know its halal.

Carey were you still at Central United when TTG did this in div 6 after two 50 goal thumpings?

I reckon they disregarded those results and no points were given to the sides getting the BYE? Or does my memory fail me?

Actually mate now you mention it I do remember something along those lines but individual stats remained in place, Goal kickers and votes etc

Clubs were allowed to count them towards club records but I don't think they counted to league records. Arron Harvey kicked 16 or something against them so he bought up his 100th club goal earlier than he did for the league tally.. CLG may be able to confirm but I remember the debate regarding that issue

Is this true?
Wouldn't they just pull the 7r and see if they can maintain a C grade (div7)???

League has removed them from the Div7 fixture but they remain in the Div7R draw.

Seems strange, as there may be many instances where clubs will just drop a handful of Div 7 players (who have the bye) to their reserves side that week and we could continue to see some pretty similar results!
or will PAOC div 7R side fill in a spot in one of the C grade comps were multiple teams are forfeiting perhaps?

I recon that's what jo172 hinted at on Friday in the C-grade thread.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them move both sides out of Div7 and put 1 into C4.

Makes sense.. i think having the side compete in Div 7R will just mean that fringe A graders will fill the spots in their B grade sides and the score line will remain the same!

Ok now I'm with ya, I didn't realise they still had a C1 side. If they were moving from Div 7+7R to C1 and C4 that would be absolute bullshit, I now see this isn't the case.

I would much prefer blokes play footy than not, so pulling out of Div 7+7r and filling the bye Div 4 makes sense. I wish PAC all the best.

Given the current rules state that clubs have to forfeit from their bottom grade, I can't see why they're dropping what is essentially their c/d grade. I would tried to maintain sides in 7 and 7 res and drop the bottom side. It also seems remarkably quick; two weeks in and done. What's to stop clubs doing this then getting players back and dominating grades? It also skews the results in all grades eg the Reds lost by 100+ points in round 1 but will play other teams with a stronger side. I understand the reasoning but think that swaps shouldn't occur until a complete round of matches (9 in a ten team comp, 8 in a 9 team comp etc) has occurred.
Unfortunately it appears other sides in c4 may also be teetering and the AFL wasn't so keen on reducing c1 to a 7 team comp.
In the long term, it appears that the League is in a position with not too many winners. I'm not sure how to solve this dilemma but the League can't also reward these clubs with easier gradings when they've nominated others. At uni we get players doubling up and access older players to ensure numbers are filled; I hope that princes have pushed hard internally and through their alumni to try to fill their nominated teams.

Nah, weve enjoyed drawing attention to ourselves and disrupting the league you condescending twat. Read the email sent out explaining why. I might add when we first advised the league the immediate reaction was to drop the C1 team but then youd whinge youd be playing in a 7 team competition.

If you could find the time to meet him and have a chat then your views might change a little. Adelaide Uni take what is dished out by the league and do what they can.....for a full season.
