You should have posted this on 1st April. Can't see it working .... massive gap between SANFL and Adelaide Football League.

No way it would work. It’s more than just how your A’s perform. SANFL clubs are light years ahead off field and with their junior programs.

Of the myriad of reasons this wouldn't work is that if you go through the SANFL club lists you'll find that a large proportion of blokes who are from the Clubs/Colleges that make up D1. Puts everyone in an impossible position

It would make more sense to have promotion / relegation for D1R & D5
