We decided to rock up at 3qtr and kicked 7 goals to 1 in the last to come back from a 4 goal deficit

Some interesting results thrown up yesterday that opens the league right up.

Been saying it since Rd 1 that I was impressed by Eastern Park. Didn’t get the win yesterday but to get a draw away at least gets them some reward as they grow significantly at home...

Why is div 5 always the tightest, it's been happening since cocky was an egg, I recall losing a game to Ingle Farm in round 18 many years back which cost us the minor premiership and we just scraped into the 5.

Lockleys have woken up, that was a huge win, full credit to Hectorville for having the balls to be promoted, they are getting the rewards for it now.

Who would've thought Salisbury would be sitting top after round 4? Add to the fact that they've already had their bye too, that is a great start, there are 7 genuine contenders for the flag.

They'll probably draw this weekend again.

EP were 30pts down 5mins into the last quarter, done well to grab a draw here..

Was an interesting game of footy. EP kicked the first 6 goals of the game, Hectorville the next 12. Then pretty much all EP in second half.

Both teams will take a lot out of the game I suspect - an ability to kick multiple goals in a row, an inability to stop the opposition kicking multiple goals in a row.

Unfortunately we lost 2 defenders in the first 10 minutes with concussion. We had to push our starting wingman back. Thought we played some pretty good footy in the second half

Martinello, Langcake and Narcys back for Lockleys would’ve made a huge difference. Pooraka’s side didn’t look as strong as the first couple of weeks either with Mercer, Batten, Zolnowski and a couple of others (that I noticed anyway) missing.

You should have seen the umpiring, one bloke destroyed the game.
God it's frustrating watching some of these people in charge, supporters from both sides were shaking their heads.
Lockleys were very good though and the Bulls went into limp mode for a 1/4 and a half, Martinello smashed it in the middle from 1/4 time.
Well done to Lockleys on their heritage day.

All teams will have outs through the year, that’s why reserves depth plays an important part over 18 rounds and finals...

Jolly is a star that’s for sure.. See how the rest of the team goes playing at Dwight reserve with no space and some good hard contested footy, should be a cracking game tbh!

As i get older, i think it's the one thing that really grinds my gears - when you hear people quip "but we were missing xx amount of players".

Like **** mate, EVERY club has players missing, very very rarely are teams playing at full strength during the season - and if they are it's even rarer it's for long periods of time.

I have a solid man-crush on Alex Jolly, great to see him back. I actually reckon the blokes in that Salisbury team who haven't been to Dwight Reserve before (Nicholson, Duncan, Mills etc) will actually really enjoy and be suited to the contested side of it on a small deck.

I'm more interested to know who you're personally going to follow around this time mate? The bald guy you usually put some time into isn't out there anymore you know. ;) 8)
