Postby whufc » Sat Mar 15, 2014 4:22 am

Just having a think but I don't reckon there is one south australian born player getting a game in any of the Australian international sides (test, OdI, t20)

What's going on

Yep SA,

Found it interesting that I don't think there is any SA born players in any side.

Harris would be also be the only player developed by SA at guess considering SA didn't really develop Nathan Lyon we just have him his oppurtuntity

It does.

And don't get me wrong, we've grossly underperformed, but Harris can be considered South Australian for the purpose of this argument, I reckon.

Would Harris be the bowler he is now, if he'd stayed in SA?

Your probably right.
Did Harris play a test whilst in SA or make his debut after he left?

So Trav finished 4th in the Shield player of the year award yet cant get a game for us.
Probably another home grown talent that will be lost to another state, have heard Langer has offered him a decent contract to go West. Would think he would jump at the opportunity

How many of those runs came before that stupid BBL? Nearly all of them! Trav unfortunately was nowhere near the shield batsman he was before Christmas. He was sacrificed for blokes that were performing.
