Spot on Heater.

Bowlers win games on AO decks. Sayers superb this match, and a clear man of the match.

What a great day 4 for the Redbacks. Sayers a genuine gun at first class level after dominating Grade Cricket for ages without getting a chance. Good to see Zampa get some wickets. Cooper continuing on his consistent form from the last couple of years and Ferguson is a class above what he was prior to his knee surgery - he will surely get another chance in Australian colours, hopefully in a baggy green.

Just need to find some help for Sayers from the other quicks, but you would expect Putland, Richardson and/or Mennie to be able to deliver sooner rather than later.

Theres been some discussion on these 2 players and whether SA or WA will benefit mostly

The one who gains the most out of klinger leaving is Travis head as he wouldn't have got a game. And I think that is why they let him go

Did Head open up or bat at 3 last year? From memory I think he did.

Do you ya reckon Cricket Aus have suggested batting him down the order this year as they see him as one of our better young batsmen in the country & see more chances of a spot opening up at say 5 or 6 in the test team down the track & want him to experiance batting there?

Otherwise why would we move him around this year?
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

He batted 3 for most of the year. I'm very intrigued by the Ferguson to 3 and Head to 5 shuffle.

If you look at a spot in the national team that's not nailed down in the middle order you'd say it's number 3. Maybe Ferg has an eye on that?

Without a doubt. ferg wants that 3 spot.
And you'd have to think that if he puts in a stellar season then in the future he is a chance of a baggy green.

Don't forget Travis Head was horribly out of form in the 2nd half of last season. Could also be a positional change until he gains extreme confidence.
