I don't think I've ever seen an Australian keeper get hit by the ball so often rather than gloving it!
Good luck spinners!

What makes me laugh is how far off gloving the ball he is when he misses a stumping. Its like he has a giant brainfart freeze as if he has forgotten to go for the ball. He simply cant keep in Test matches.

His batting is fine.

It astounds me that such a poor standard of keeping has managed to get them through countless state cricket programs and systems and allowed them to reach national selection - some of the efforts are almost as bad as watching some low grade community cricketer!

But is wicket keeping excellence even what they look for?

Or is it a good batsman that isn't terrible with the gloves?

Stupid gilly ruining it for pure glovemen forever :)

I would be interested to know just how much these keeper/batsmen excelled in junior ranks with the stick.

Also think coaches should've been looking purely at a gloveman - these days you don't get a gig unless you're proficient in more than one aspect of the game anyway, so why not take the bloke whose exceptional with the gloves and can bat a bit over the guy whose ordinary with the gloves but can bat a bit better?

You have to take 20 wickets to win a test match.
Obviously 10 for a onedayer.
The keeper plays a huge part in that. If he's missing chances, especially on batter friendly decks then he's s massive liability no matter how good he is with the bat.
This bloke has to make a hundred every game to break even.

Bailey going real well here, is his test career finished or can we find room for an experienced player in our top 6?

HTF does Hastings get a game? Is it just because he happened to be over there?

To be fair to Wade who's keeping was farcical the other night. His batting tonight was sublime.

Stoinos doesn't appear to be a bright lad.

Has anyone ever seen Alex Hales make a run?

He smashed 40 in an abandoned match for the Strikers a couple of years ago.

I feel Wade's batting will be more effective than Haddin's at number 6/7/8.

I don't understand why Stoinos is in the side. Don't rate him.

Is Faulkner still banned from playing for Australia or something after being done for drink driving?
