Yeah cause he wouldn't know....

He probably does know, my point is that it’s a shit thing to say in defence of cheating.

 right back at you.

Or restrict it so only the bowler can work on the ball.

Dear oh dear.
That would explain a lot.
The ashes series should be declared null and void and the urn returned

Coach Bombay wrote:What if Bancroft did it on his own and Smith has jumped in and taken the blame even though he knew nothing of it?

I had that thought when I saw Smith hang Bancroft out to dry in the presser... "You wanna explain that?" he said when asked what went down. My thinking went further... that Warner and Bancroft hatched the plan and Smith has taken responsibility as captain.

Time will tell... its probably me still in denial.

This is getting legs in that it was Warners idea and Smith supported it and Bancroft agreed to do the tampering

If Smith knew about it which it sounds like he did then he has to take full responsibility as Captain.

It’s more the pity that he didn’t stand up... and say no to the ball tampering plan.

Does David Saker have a role in this?

I just can't see Boof agreeing to something like this. I believe that it was a decision made by Smith and Warner. Boof knows that no matter what the decision is he has to step down as the integrity of the team has been brandished. And with great power comes great responsibility. It also says that if he wasn't in the know then what does that say about the level of trust and respect he has from his captain and vice captain??

Who would be in line to be our next coach? Langer? Ponting? Dizzy?

Yeah he would have to be up there. I just think it's very sad that Boof's legacy is probably going to be tainted for the rest of his life. I don't see it like that. I'll still see him as the legend he is. I seriouisly think Smith and Warner's heads and egos were more important than what the baggy green stands for.
