Well if the knob actually adjusted his mind to Test cricket and not T20 he might stay in a little longer?
1st Innings
1st ball - Defends a good ball on off stump 10/10
2nd ball - Slashes wildly at a ball about 3 1/2 feet outside off stump and misses
3rd ball - OUT Caught in slips to a ball that kicked a little BUT he had no need to even play at it anyway.

The 2nd and 3rd balls just showed to me that his mind wasn't attuned to the job at hand.

Yeah well said JJ, a good 2 cents worth. Due to the tricky pitch conditions in the West Indies he can't really go after the bowling from the get go like he does in Australia.

Hopefully he can tough it out and get some runs tonight.

Probably the best opener in the world who averages 47 in test cricket. Calling him a T20 player is 2009 logic

I'd have Voges and Rogers. Rogers' record is a lot better than Marsh's IMO, he's done well v England and played a lot in England, Warner has batted much better with him, and don't forget he's made six fifties on the trot in his last three tests.

I've never seen Marsh as more than a middling Shield player.

Why declare before stumps day 3 ?
Why give the West Indie a sniff by declaring and setting them 393 in 2 days plus the 8 overs already faced ?

Australia is 1-0 up in the series
Why not bat to a lead of 450 , snuff out the West Indies completely and STILL WIN the match

Yes after I posted that I thought about Rogers record in England and yeah it's outstanding, hard to look past. So obviously he knowns the conditions well and has plenty of experience there.

Did some Googling I couldn't find his first class statistical record in England (cricinfo doesn't have it) but found a breakdown of the firstclass teams he's played for http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Playe ... _Team.html

So perhaps Marsh will make way for Rogers.
