Scans have revealed no damage, he's expected to be back out there today.

Clapping opposition milestones is over-rated IMO.

If you do it fair enough, if you don't do it, it's neither here or there.

A few did shake his hand as they walked off at Stumps.

Great finish to the day.
Great to see Maxwell make more runs than Marsh, and batting ahead of Wade.

Where's Sharma when it's tough? Not to be sighted.
Kohli left them rudderless upon his departure - he really is the heart and soul of that side.

Sharma has been like that for a while. He has all the tools but maybe its effort.

Interesting you say that, an indian player from our club said the pitch will play fine for the first 3 days, said it may look horrible but it's actually a good hard pitch, just the soil composition is different in that state and when wet it always looks very dark and ugly like it did when those photos were released the other day.

I have never clapped an opposition for scoring runs, but i would always say well batted either right then and there or at the end of the innings.

It's like clapping opposition captains - like WTF why? Clap them because they achieved a 'C' next to their name? G'orn get stuffed, you're the opposition and I hate you, earn a "clap" :D

Because it's a nice gesture and it's a Gentleman's game Zartan ;) We used to do it and so did another teams in our competition but it's sort of stopped now.

I'm with Benny, won't clap a batsman who plays a good innings but out of respect I'll make the effort to say well batted at the end of their innings.

Bah, bollocks to all of that. Some slogger arses his way to 100 by hoiking it over cow corner a half dozen or so times, gets dropped at mid on and snicks 3 past 2nd slip doesn't deserve a well batted at all*.

PS - I do believe in "Captain lads" when the opposition skipper takes guard. That's one I used to acknowledge when I was leading sides.

Rioting at poor umpiring decisions/getting umpires changed mid-game is also a tradition of the game based on 1870s anecdotes.

It's weird how different comps have different traditions because I have never seen this ever in my time in the Barossa
