Australian International Summer 2024/25

Bumrah without doubt is the best bowler in the galaxy
2 men have taken him on this series
The Trav and Samball Konstas

The tactic the kid used today was crazy - low percentage
BUT
The way he was defending early with 2 off 20 balls it was amounting to him failing on debut
In the end a brilliant but lucky innings

I don’t think he’s got any idea … a sparkler on NYE will last longer.

No idea indeed...

Good on him, has balls, got everyone up … but … you have to back it up to last in this caper.

The Indians would have never seen him before, and world class bowlers don’t take long to work batsmen out.

They say you make your own luck … he did that today and made his mark.

But does he have it in him to bat for long periods of time to save a test match if necessary, time will tell ;)

I hope he makes it long term - coz its brilliant to watch

I think he MIGHT make a long term Test cricketer- but I need to see him bat more sedately b4 making up my mind

100 wasn’t to be but can’t criticise the best start we have had this series by a mile.

Yep, helps out Labuschagne massively too as he comes in at 1/89 where Bumrah has already had two spells as opposed to 1/less than 30.

Incorrect, they played against him in the Prime Ministers Eleven tour match where Konstas made a hundred and he played like he did today. Obviously you don't know that match happened?

Typical kid. Doesn't have the attention span to spend 2 sessions out there. Quite a reckless dismissal

Also
Someone in the Indian hierachy or the players would have seen Samball Konstas's first 20 balls in the BIG bash when he got to 50
No matter what he enhanced his ODI and T20 International chances of selection today

Don't disagree with any of that.

The confidence with which you dismissed a guy who's been picked for Australia as having 'no idea' though... [emoji1787]

Perhaps batsmen around the world would have seen Samballs innings [ and The Trav in this series] and will now play with more intent vrs Bumrah ?

We shall see what negotiations take place after Kohli's detour today...

32 overs taken off the ball so far, all good from an Australian perspective.
