That’s terrible news. Wonder who they will go with if he is ruled out

Hopefully Carey, dont see any point going to Wade or Nevill in a dead rubber

Agree Carey would have to be the one unless they go with Handscombe for a one off test.

Though Carey is potentially the next long term keeper, is in good BBL batting form (apparently that counts for something) and is pretty much the best glove men in the country.

The early talk was that they would go with Handscomb as the possible replacement. Obviously got Bancroft there aswell. But Paine will now rejoin the squad tomorrow- http://www.cricket.com.au/news/tim-pain ... 2017-12-23

In other news, Ben Stokes is flying back to the UK after his stint with Canterberry as his chances of playing in the Ashes is over-

And Mitchell Starc is rated a 50-50 chance to play on Boxing day-

Having a chuckle at your bowlers talking about how they work hard on there batting and tailenders should get used to bouncers. Maybe your tail should learn how to play spin and swing considering in the past few years they have been one of the worst tails in the world being only better then the minnows. Feel like there is some hypocrisy in what Hazlewood said.

England dont rate Bird evidently so if they (England) bat today one should think Bird will have 0/60 odd off of 10 overs by stumps

That's only fair, there's about 8 of their blokes we don't rate.

This is what I love about the Australian media, all agree its the flattest MCG track they've seen and anyone would love to bat on this track blah blah blah

Now watch tonight when Australia are 3/320. It'll be England are cooked, England are done, Didn't bowl well at all such a dominant performance by this great Australian team 3-0 and want more It'll go on and on

If Bancroft plays the short ball like he is now, he is in a world of hurt against South Africa.
