TAS used change ups most balls to great effect - yet we continue to bowl seam up bang em in full of a length.. why not try mixing up the pace and length a fraction?

We are poo.

Lehmann is a poo captain.

Mennie 0/28 off 10 is tidy returns though! Now if we can just get Winter to find some better lines we might still be in this.

So Winter is bowling with a 3rd man, fine leg, deep square, deep point.. and just bowl around the wicket, full and straight into leg stump ball after ball

WTF is wrong with these people!?

Zampa gets Milenko out LBW, TAS now 5/210 and needing 27 off 37 balls.

Amazing what happens when you have someone who can bowl to their field and isn't afraid to bowl variations.

Zampa 2/47 off 10 overs.

6/214 - 23 off 25 balls required... need to keep McDermott at the other end as much as possible.

At this stage it'll end up Winter to bowl the last over, and he's gone at over 6 RPO today. :?

Redbacks are rubbish.

Lehmann is an average captain.
Didn't capitalise on the good start from Weatherald, fell 20 runs short
Bowling plans and fields for most of the game were very ordinary, then when they needed to bowl full, straight and fast they leak 5 byes from some sloppy fielding by Carey and then Valente follows up with a slower ball on a length to close his over when he needed to close out the over!

Understand they tried to remain patient and take the game deep, but for 20 overs they just allowed the Tassie bats to rotate the strike with absolute ease - needed to tighten the screws a little more.

Rating
Carey - C+ - took a while to get going with the bat, then his fielding effort late hurt.
Weatherald - A - got us off to a great start, unlucky how he got out, fielded well.
Ferguson - B+ - ok with the bat, needed him to go on with it
Lehmann - C - hit 58* but he took forever to get into his innings and picked up his only 3 boundaries in the last 15 balls or so to improve that S/R, captaincy was poor, and his over was rubbish.
Cooper - D - did nothing
Ross - D - did nothing
Valente - C - Bowled alright I thought
Zampa - B+ - Bowled well
Mennie - A - very tidy bowling
Richardson - B+ couple of wickets and a great run out
Winter - D - bowled junk.

Rating
Carey - B - took a while to get going with the bat, then his fielding effort late hurt. thought he kept well ( can forgive the misfield as its probably the first and last time we see it. plus it wasn't the reason we lost )
Weatherald - A - got us off to a great start, unlucky how he got out, fielded well.
Ferguson - B+ - ok with the bat, needed him to go on with it

Cooper - D - did nothing. Love Hate relationship with him. 2 days ago looked a million bucks. today not worth a dollar
Ross - F - did nothing, dropped McDermott on 35 (sitter) batting had no urgency. Dropped next game
Valente - C - Bowled alright I thought, showed a little more pace i think he needs to show that more.
Zampa - B+ - Bowled well, highlight of the comp so far. he is bowling his way to England.
Mennie - A - very tidy bowling
Richardson - A couple of wickets and a great run out. rated him highly showed why he plays for Aus
Winter - D - bowled Junk, will play on Sunday and will be pumped.
