I know we joke a lot about sacking chuck but our one day form is woeful.

George was always going to tear us a new one. Too predictable.

Well my prediction pre innings was 14 runs off. All to predictable mediocrity.

Do they sack cricket coaches mid season???

He made it very clear in an interview that he didn't enjoy the longer form of cricket had made a return to south Australia to try and get some silverware. Now that we are likely to finish bottom he has thrown in the towel with a soft tissue injury.

Ever thought that he might be genuinely injured? He approached SACA about playing he had no contract for the preseason and won't get one until he plays enough games to qualify.

I'm a Tait fan but if that is true that's pretty ordinary given the jelly's only have 3 games left for the tournament.

This was him in an interview just 3 days ago:

SHAUN Tait will sling on while he can still rattle and roll rivals in a comeback that’s very much the real deal.

A watershed pre-season - the most gruelling of Tait’s 12 year career - is starting to pay dividends. Tait took 2-39 from 10 overs in South Australia’s three-wicket, one-day loss to Western Australia at the Gabba on Wednesday with his 150km/h rhythm returning gradually.

“The first game didn't go very well,” said Tait, who conceded 0-68 in his one-day return for SA against New South Wales in last Sunday’s Matador Cup opener at Allan Border Field.

“The second game was much better, the first few overs were a bit scrappy but I came back in my last seven overs which were good.

“I can’t ask for much more. I wasn’t going to come out and take four wickets in my first game. I’ll take those figures, 2-39. As long as I can bowl quick I will keep playing.”

Tait’s troublesome bowling elbow triggered a retirement from one-day cricket after the 2011 one-day World Cup. However Tait’s body is holding up four and a half years after he last bowled 10 overs in a domestic one-day game for SA.

“I feel pretty good to be honest. I am right to go and can get through most games,” said Tait, who aims to resume his first-class career after the Big Bash League with Adelaide Strikers in January.

Something doesn't make sense because even just 3 days ago he was going to be playing Shield cricket for the Redbacks this summer too.

Who said anything about tait being out for the Sheild season? This is the 50 over comp thread? And tait can only blame himself for the way he is perceived by the public.
