Made 53 against the Windies in the 4th match of the series in July last year then his last half century before that was 79 against NZ in the 2nd match of the series in March, 18 innings ago.

Being a massive fan of him knowing his record and what he's done and can do opening the batting it's been tough to watch him struggle for runs of late and I'm starting to question if he's still the best fit opening in T20I's. Will be interesting to see if he retains his spot for the World Cup (which I think he probably will) and whether or not the selectors fancy McDermott over him to partner Warner for the World Cup.

Yeah he hasn't really taken his opportunity and made the most of it but I think he's deserved his chance so will be interesting to see if the selectors retain him in the squad for the World Cup aswell as Finch or look elsewhere like you said.

That's the nature of the game, I've been critical of Finch in the past but if you're winning you just keep plugging away with the game plan.

I'd sooner see Maxy or Stoinis open up, they're not really getting a decent crack at it down the order, it doesn't hurt us to load up on all-rounders either, as much shit as we've hung on Agar he has certainly done his job this series.

Things are looking good in the short game too, I'm keen to see some ODI's though, they're like a timed game of chess IMO.

Rod Marsh had a heart attack today but luckily was revived by two Cricket Australia reps.

Wish I had kept those Rod Marsh Gold 100s that were the first pair of 'gloves I brought.

Genuinely gutted.

I remember a testimonial show they had for him in the 80's, I was maybe 10 years old, he was obviously a very funny much loved bloke, a bloke's bloke, a typical 80's Aussie cricketer with grit, a trait we don't really see anymore.
