Probably need to keep one of Agar and Conway but definitely don't need both.

I'd probably keep the Groundhog if he doesn't come at too much of a cost, I'd go Agar over Big Harry.

Can you afford to keep Khan and Lynn if their not going to be around come finals.

Is there any sporting organisation where you contract players for the regular season but let them leave before the real stuff starts?
It really is ridiculous!

I dont know how it compares to other teams but at the moment the strikers have......

Khan and Lynn who piss of to player finals elsewhere.

Head and Carey who will most likely have international duties so unavailable for the most part.....and this year apart from Smith the test guys struggled to do anything in the big bash.

How does the salary cap work....are them 4 taking up a huge chunk of it??

I believe so. Those 4 plus the other 2 o/seas. Not sure what Siddle and Short would be on but did hear H Nielsen (courtesy of his father being in charge of the contracts) is on a very healthy contract.

I'm no genius but having $1.2mil (over 40%) of the salary cap tied up in players who wont play finals and miss multiple games throughout the minor round doesn't make a lot of sense imo.

Surely Head and Carey only get paid when they play.
Hence they would only receive a small amount of that actual contract amount.
Surely?

I got no idea....

A quick google search and a variety of answers suggests the BBL salary cap is $1.9mil.....not sure how true the above players rates are then.

If Carey and Head only get paid when they play it means we are leaving a lot of cap room sitting on the floor to cater for them.

Was probably already in a contract after previous failures, he did start to show a bit last year, I think he’ll get a nice new negotiation.

Haha! Another great innings from Smith but the Sixers fell in a hole losing 5/34 since he was dismissed.

Strikers aren't guaranted to make finals even with a win tonight.

Should bowl first so they know how many overs to jump the Gades in NRR

I think he will, but I can't see the point of signing up guys who will leave half way through the competition. Hopefully Cricket Australia can sort out the scheduling and ensure our BBL doesn't clash with other T20 comps.
