Simply unbelievable.
The blokes strides out to the middle with pride, thinking that this might be the innings that gets him back into the Australian team, wearing his baggy green again. Less than 48 hours later he's no longer with us.
Heart goes out to his family, his close mates, his cricketing colleagues and without question, Sean Abbott. I hope everyone, and I know they will be, rallies around him.
Tragedy gets used too often, but this is, indeed, a tragedy.

I've had this awful feeling the whole time that this would be the tragic outcome. I've been refreshing the news pages regularly dreading what I would find.
Terrible, awful news. My condolences go out to his family, friends and team-mates.

Yes, this is part of why I was dreading each time I refreshed the news page. It's just a shocking tragedy.

You can't help but feel like they were pre-warned.
Very sad.
Even sadder is the fact that some docile helicopter parents will now pull their kids out of playing the sport because they think it's dangerous.

Feel for Sean Abbott. Can't describe what that bloke must be feeling right now.

I feel like Phil Hughes wouldn't hold any grudges towards Abbott
It's now crucial the cricket community supports Abbott which in itself will be a way to honour Hughes
