This is the level of clown running this show :

https://www.saca.com.au/news/james-pyke ... 2020-09-10

SACA President Andrew Sinclair said:

“We identified the establishment of the Independent Chair of Selectors role as a matter of priority following the Head Coach role, and we’re extremely pleased to have James on board.

“James was an exceptional candidate and he is a widely respected figure in the cricketing world, and South Australia more broadly.

“We feel we are on the right track and our hope is for the Redbacks group to perform as well as they possibly can.”

Respected in the cricketing world, and South Australia more broadly. What?

Squad listed on MyCricket. Assume it is the "Hub 15"

Hunt, Weatherald, Ferguson, Head, Cooper, Davis, Nielsen, Sayers, Winter, Agar, Pope, McInerney, Scott, Robins, Valente

No Richardson/Carey. Assume they're in Aussie squad?

Also no Mennie, Worrall, Lehmann, Bosisto, Drew, Grant. I wonder if there are some injuries amongst that group?

???

You're being pretty harsh I reckon. League footballer and state cricketer. Years of involvement at grade level as a player plus in coaching/fitness roles. Qualified physio. Smart bloke. Hard arse.

Would be plenty of worse options

How independent will he be as Nielsen's best mate?

I reckon it is.
A "guess" for the starting X1: Hunt, Weatherald, Davis, Ferguson, Head, Nielsen, Scott, Sayers, Agar, Winter, Pope

They have been great for the redbacks but I hope we have moved past Ferguson and cooper being automatic first up selections

I can understand why you'd be skeptical but he's very much his own man

Friendship in tatters by Christmas I reckon!

Confirmed on SACA website.

Mennie in England for personal reasons(??) and will miss all four matches, Worrall has calf problem so may be added to Hub after couple of games.

Lehmann the noticeable out, going on last years form by the looks, and maybe Bosisto the other one bit unlucky, but they do like Liam Scott.

Is Mennie’s partner English?

There is a 2 day 90 over game happening at Port Reserve this weekend with those listed that have been left out of the 'hub 15

Got off to great start, dumps Lehmann and now names Harry Vice captain

So when Head goes to play for Australia, Harry is captain of the Redbacks, please!!!!

What an absolute shambles Tim Neilson has created!!

Surely that's Dizzy's decision?

So I’m looking at heading to a few Shield games, anyone confirm that you can only attend games at KR and Glenelg?
Sounded weird but was told no access to games at Park 25 for spectators

That's what it says on the Cricket Aus website. Haven't been past the ovals to see if it's all been fenced off but I doubt they could stop anyone from sitting along the bike path areas around park 25 at all.

Carey will be back by then to take the VC reins.

Who is your suggestion?

One day you'll get over Harry leaving to play for Woodville :)

It has been fenced off but you could stand outside the fence and see I guess

Apparently the issue is lack of spectator facilities, toilets etc at these grounds, plus the ability to keep players and spectators separate

Callum Ferguson dropped for tomorrow’s match, gone with Davis instead. Bit surprising for Round 1, considering in the warm up games Davis made one century, but also four ducks

Valente and McInerney the other two left out from the 15 man hub. Would expect Luke Robins would be 12th man and they play Liam Scott who they love.

Is Liam Scott an allrounder? If so I'm assuming he's picked over Valente?
No Lehmann and no Ferguson now, Cooper will play surely? I'm so used to having at least 2 of them in the Redbacks team after all three being the middle order for an extended period of time.
I thought McInerney would partner Hunt at the top of the order.
