It's terrible for test cricket, mind you I'd say it's better then watching a test like the Pakistan Aussies test at the same venue earlier this year just for the sheer shot making. Pitches like this ruin test cricket though. As English supporter then has watched us barely score runs since 2013 I'll take it though

Let's face it, there is only one result possible if the pitch stays this way. The game is already dominated by the bat and this does nothing to draw people to the game or back to the game.

As embarrassing is knowing the light would be an issue due to the time of the year (sunset is listed at 5pm which is the match close of play time) they do not adjust the start time and both days have finished early losing around 15 overs each day. Perhaps you can get a bet on about what time bad light will stop play!
