The way Adelaide Oval played it would have suited his bowling
Think the Indian selectors made a boo boo not playing him
And now gets selected in the 2nd test

Will be interested to see how he performs with the ball
He is often MAgicianuL on Indian decks , but his form in Australia , last tour was well below par

IN 4/311 Stumps day 1
Rahane 75*
Sharma 26*

MJ will be the key , I think he will get Rahane out early
MJ to finish with 3 wickets today
I think India will be all out for 416
Australia 2/189 at Stumps day 2

MJ needs the fire back (understandable why he may not have it at the moment)

If Mj can't find the aggression imho he will not see out the next Ashes series

Exactly what I was thinking mate. His biggest weapon is his ability to intimidate the batter with his fierce short bowling. He's a bit wayward this series. He needs to find it back or else he won't be making his trip to England next year. Apart from his very fast bowling, he doesn't have too much other variations to his bowling to offer (I.e; Out-swing, In-swing, Reverse-swing, etc....).

Just a quick question.

When a batter reaches a milestone (i.e; 50 & 100, etc...) he puts his bat in the air to acknowledge his achievement. When a bowler takes 5+ wickets in an innings he puts the ball in the air to show his achievement.

When a wicket keeper takes 5+ dismissals, what does he do to show his achievement?

Just haven't seen anything and now that Haddin has taken 5 catches I thought there might be something they do.

Drunk talk at the cricket club Tuesday night was

'Is it Johnson who appears to have lost his edge, fire, aggression or is there a directive from higher up aka cricket Australia encouraging him to tame down a tad'

It did get me thinking

Yeah McGrath started that for the bowlers apparently he used to complain in the dressing room about to the bowlers get nothing for their work.

I agree with the umpire, I don't reckon Dhoni took evasive action, he just turned his back on it

If someone can link to a replay of that catch when it becomes available, would be much appreciated.

Sounded like an absolute beauty.

The captaincy has not affected East Coast Smiths fielding
What a catch
Inspirational stuff
Will it ignite Watson ?
IN 6/328

Dhoni 5* looks very ordinary so far

What a sensational catch. Almost Allan Border style.

What is everyones opinion on the greatest catch by a fielder ever?

Mine would have to be Glenn McGrath's diving catch at Adelaide Oval many years ago. ( When I cannot tell ya).

Agree
Dhoni turned his back on a short one and got hit
No team deserves leg byes for that
