ODI win = 2 point ( 6 total )

Total = 16 points

Australia have 4 points and need 8 to retain the Ashes. As such two wins in the 6 white ball matches and we keep the Ashes.

I think I've said it on here before but reckon Alyssa Healy has the best hands of any wicket keeper in Australia.

The fact she kept this test with two broken fingers and you could barely notice it is further proof.

I know I've said it before, the Australian Womens Cricket team is the most admirable international representative team Australia has. They play with spirit, they play with intent, they respect the opposition and the game and do it all with a smile on their face.

As a nation we should be immensely proud of how they conduct themselves.

Was chatting about this at work and we all agreed and maybe because its still in its formative years but they play in the Australian test team as if they are privileged to be in that position.

Many other sports teams are full of people who have been in the elite pathways since they were very young and playing for their nation is there right because of their talent.

I'd like to see the women play a 3 test match series. The first game was a great contest. Sutherlands ton (the small bit I saw) was very good.

The Ashes should be for test cricket only,
let the women play a real test series (3 or more), so they don't have to rely on winning hit & giggle cricket to "win" The Ashes.

Great player.

I agree with the above play a 3 test series inbetween the mens matches, would work well.

And make them all 5 days no more 4 day tests.

Yeah, agree, they appear to be well-adjusted because a lot have had the opportunities to undertaken pursuits outside of cricket in early adulthood.

I think it's a matter of no egos, no dickheads.

Win 2 of the next 6 hit and giggles and its a drawn series

QUESTION
What if the countries finish on 8 points each ?
Is it a drawn series or would England win because they would win more games [4 -3]

Also should all games be of equal value, Tests lessened to equal points of the hit and giggle formats ?

England have named there team for the second test and there's one change, Moeen Ali out who is replaced by Josh Tongue.

Four seamers (five if you count Stokes), that's not going to help England's over rate if Australia bat time.

It looks pretty green a couple of days out so should have some pace in it.
Can't help thinking a green wicket helps us more than them.

Just saw the pitch on the news, they’ve taken a lot of grass off and looks brown now
