T20, overhyped, overrated and over it!

I was the same. initially I thought "Bewdy. Friday night. Have a few beers. I'll enjoy this".

Then it became a joke. So contrived. Ridiculous boundaries. 10's peurile coverage. I don't know who Howie is but I just wished he would have shut up. Standard Def. Foxtel at least had high def and if you have to have women involved make sure sure they're lookers. Dipper reminded me of a Russian performing bear. Murali still chucking them. Bear still looking like he has potential. "Big Show" Maxwell still showing he's not very bright. I turned off.

I'll still watch bits of of it mainly when Adelaide play. There will be the odd interesting game. There has to be when they play for 6 weeks.

I've seen a number of the "recruits" play in the Premier League. I think Adelaide's best performers will mainly come from the existing locals.

I have checked my bank balance and I am willing to offer $500 to anyone who will rip out Andy Mahers voice box. Who ever the hell he is?

Worst commentator ever. Bring back anyone

I'd be more than happy to chip in $100 myself

If you buy the rights for something even the hit and giggle of the Big bash then give it some respect, even a little bit. It's not some toy thing you buy to keep the your list of sport "commentators" in employment.

He's a joke but other networks do it, Tim Gilbert during the Ryobi Cup on Gem. I remember the last season the NBL was on Fox they had bloody Brian Taylor & Dwayne Russell as the alternating 'straight' commentators.

Warner in great form yet another 50.

I think Cossie has been in an even better paddock than Dipper ;)

Big TV ratings for the season opener on Friday night:

THE crowd figure wasn't spectacular - but the numbers tuning in certainly were.

The Big Bash League's Melbourne derby at the MCG on Friday night drew 25,266 - well down on predictions of 30,000-plus.

But new free-to-air host Channel 10 was thrilled with a national audience of more than 1.1 million.

In Melbourne, the match was the top-rated program of the evening, with the network on Friday claiming the audience was "up 420 per cent on (its) 2012-13 capital-city season average".

Ten paid $100 million - including $20 million in contra - for BBL rights over five years, its first foray into elite cricket coverage.

Also the Perth Scorchers have signed Pakistan's Yasir Arafat as a replacement for Dwayne Smith who might not play at all.

Supposedly Andrew McDonald is going to be out for the whole tournament and Jon Holland won't be able to play until the new year.
