Some people just don't have the respect. And it is usually those that are like her that have no idea but are the first to whinge and whine if something this terrible happened to them. I've had some run ins already with a couple of blokes at my work for making comments like, "Gee, all this attention is a bit rich and dragging on". When I heard that I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I said to the blokes that if it was someone they knew or close to them. They wouldnt be making comments like that or appreciate it if someone else made those shite comments.
What the hell goes through some peoples heads during times like this.

I have heard that same opinion quite a few times as well. Too many times to take every single person to task over their opinion.

It is a very delicate subject obviously but if they are still very sad for everyone involved and still acknowledge the tragic circumstances then I can live with them feeling the media coverage was getting too much.

I think it hit a crescendo with the funeral and has respectfully tailed off since then.

As with all tragedies the funeral/memorial service provides closure to most people. Those closest to him can now continue to deal with it in private.

I'm sure I've said similar things at the time of say, Diana's or Michael Jackson's death.

I was probably one to say it was completely overblown in those instances too. Probably makes my a hypocrite. Or maybe I'll soften my stance in the future with that sort of thing.
