In the recent second test match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe Rashid Khan topped Shane Warne for the most overs bowled in a test match this century. His match figures were 11/275 from 99.2 overs, Warne bowled 98 against South Africa in 2002.

Since WW2 only Jim Laker has bowled more overs in a test, he bowled 105 against the West Indies in 1957

The series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe finished at 1-1.

I'm pretty sure Sonny Ramadhin bowled 129 overs in a match in that same series.

I googled it and yes he did, in the first test match in Birmingham in that series.
Laker bowled 105 in the third test at Trent Bridge.
I got that information a article on CA website-

Jim Laker, nothing will ever compare to the Manchester test in 1956:

Recently in test match cricket series Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh 1-0 and Pakistan beat Zimbabwe 2-0 but now the cricket world's attention turns to the massive English summer where England plays NZ in two test series followed by the World Test Championship Final between India and NZ and then the five test series between England and India.

England v NZ- first test June 2nd and second test June 10th.

WTC Final, India v NZ, June 18th.

England v India- first test starts on August 4th.

NZ wicket keeper BJ Watling will retire at the end of NZ's England tour. He has the most Wicket keeping dismissals for NZ with 249 and he is 10th on their most test runs list with 3773 @38.11 with only Andy Flower and Adam Gilchrist having a higher test batting average as keepers that have played more than 50 test matches.

In other news, Jofra Archer will miss the test series against NZ due to his troublesome right elbow playing up again during his comeback match for Sussex.

No worries mate, yes I've been keeping up with the news about the upcoming English summer and I'm really looking forward to it, I'm especially interested to see how NZ goes in England this time around, including the world test championship.

The last Lords test match was the second test of the 2019 Ashes. Bring on Wednesday night!

Finally after 654 days test cricket is back at the home of cricket!

Kane Williamson won the toss and NZ will bat first.

England's team is sort of what I expected, Bracy and Robinson will debut and Leach misses out. The revolving door of English selection continues.
Burns
Sibley
Crawley
Root
Pope
Lawrence
Bracy (wk)
Robinson
Broad
Wood
Anderson

NZ going with a well balanced team with the two allrounders in de Grandhomme and Santner, Mitchell and Henry miss out. Conway on debut as somewhat of a makeshift opening batsman. He's usually batted 3 in first class cricket and hasn't opened since 2014. Big test for him against Anderson and Broad.
Latham
Conway
Williamson
Taylor
Nicholls
Watling
de Grandhomme
Santner
Jamieson
Southee
Wagner

Today Jimmy Anderson joins Alastair Cook on 161 test matches and is currently on 992 First class wickets.

NZ 0/23, watchful start and Conway is starting to look more comfortable.

Yep Conway looks very compact, some nice punch drives played.

Agreed, done well to see off Jimmy and Broad who were just doing enough to pose a threat to Latham and Conway. They got through to 58 before Latham chopped on to give Robinson his first test wicket.

NZ 1/62

Poor start over-rate wise for England and picking the 4 quicks ain't going to help that.

First wicket for Anderson and it's a big one, Williamson chops on for 13. I just read that's the 7th time Anderson has dismissed Williamson, NZ 2/86.
