India briefly had an extra fielder after the lunch break; some 'extra' from the crowd kitted up in India gear, with JARVO 69 on the back, took the field. He was pointing to the insignia saying he was an Indian player as he was caught!

Funny stuff aha, the look of disdain he gave the official telling him to get off the ground after he pointed at the insignia on his shift was gold.

England 4/256
Root 115*, his 22nd test match century and his seventh against India. Sobers, Richards, Ponting and Smith have eight.

It's his fifth hundred this year, the last Englishman to score five hundreds in a calendar year was Ian Bell in 2011. He now has 9000 test runs too, he's the second youngest to the mark behind Alastair Cook.

Real pity we won't have all of Wood, Archer and Stone for the Ashes. We actually had some decent quick bowlers now it's just wood left and he's only good for 2 tests a series.

Compulsive hooker!

India effectively 2/15.
Pujara still on 0 after facing 31 deliveries and really finding it tough to hit the ball off the square. Alot has been made of his form (along with the form of Kohli and Rahane) and his place in the side and you can see why right now.

This Pujara/Kohli v the England bowlers is a great battle to watch.

Not that its overly important given the circumstances but does the goings on in Afghanistan at the moment potentially effect their cricket status or even development of the sport.

This graphic (the Jimmy Anderson 5-fas at lords) really annoys me.

What order are they listed in?

It's not alphabetical by country.
It's not chronological.
It's not sorted by bowling figures.

If someone could please find some logic to it I might be able to get to sleep tonight...

I think that one against NZ might be 2013, not 2003
