You Tube Classic Cricket Moments

Postby LaughingKookaburra » Fri Dec 30, 2016 9:51 pm

Cricket is one game where moments in history can be described in a very short clip. When bored at times I take a look at cricket vids that I remember in history and make me appreciate the game more now. Share the clips you remember and give us all something to talk shit about.

I remember watching this as a kid when there was a plate on a length at the WACA. Absolute express from McGrath before he slowed down a little and Peter Kirsten on his front foot gets his head knocked in to Gloucester Park.

Arguably the greatest match in cricket history even though I suspect the match was fixed. I personally rate the India victory over Australia at Eden Gardens in 2001 as the best cricket match I have ever seen.

Nice topic LK. I have literally spend hours watching cricket videos on YouTube.

robelinda2 is a channel I regularly scroll through and watch videos from, the footage that guy has is incredible. Check out his channel out if you haven't already.

This is the number one cricket moment that will stay with me forever. I remember being at primary school, our teacher let us watch the cricket and seeing this put me off sliding to retrieve the ball forever.

These are my two favourite cricket videos, compilation videos with plenty of memorable moments in them.

5.20 and 5.45 are the best in this clip-

And this is pure genius from Punter-

And ironically with Pakistan here at the moment I found this gem the other day-

Inzi deserved all the runouts in the world but how bad was the decision in the 92 World Cup v Australia at the WACA! He was past the stumps and given runout LEL.

Some of the best yorkers you will ever see. The last one when Akram shattered Laras toe sent shutters down my spine.

Two of the most devastatingly brutal bowling displays I've seen both by Mitchell Johnson in South Africa.

The 99 World Cup Semi Final gets its integrity questioned all the time. This match isn't far behind it!

Didn't think it was that bad - sloppy/lazy fielding from the WI, but with the bat, they still needed 42 off 52 when Chanderpaul got out, remembering this was the mid 90's, anything above 4/5 RPO was deemed difficult.. obviously panic set in as the run rate blew out and they choked.

Give credit to Warne, bowled a treat.

8 wickets in hand on a postage stamp I'm a bit more skeptical. Each to their own.

Its a shame the Phil Hughes incident understandably effected Johnson that much that he was never able to regain that aggression ever again. I reckon he had a few more of them spells in him.

Lehmann is credited with giving Johnson the license to bowl quick and dangerous rather than trying to bowl line and length

Summer of 86/87 - David Hookes and Wayne Phillips have a partnership of 462 at the Adelaide Oval against Tasmania and then a week later are in the SA team that belts Tasmania in Hobart to win the McDonalds Cup. Vision of both games in this clip. Also see current SACA CEO Keith Bradshaw bowled by Tim May and Norwood footballer nearly fumble a straightforward catch to dismiss David Boon.

I remember watching this live on TV back in 1992. You'd be hard pressed to see a better three consecutive deliveries from a fast bowler...

Glenn Bishop's dismissal should've been a no-ball.
