Partnership ends on 365 off 47.2 overs with John Campbell dismissed for 179.
Partnership was just 7 runs short of the World ODI Partnership Record for any wicket which is 372 by Gayle and Samuels for the 2nd wicket against Zimbabwe in Canberra in 2015

The world cup will be full of runs. Flat tracks and small boundaries plus they use a white kookaburra which does not swing for long, going to be tough for the bowlers.

5th ODI
England 9/351 (50)
Pakistan in reply 3/6 (3) Woakes 3/0 (2)
Abid Ali given out by Paul Reiffel LBW Immediately reviewed as looked like going down leg. Hawkeye saying clipping the outside top of leg stump by a bees dick so stays out. Poor decision in my book
3 balls later Mohammad Afeez given LBW to a ball that looks a bit high. Commentators crapping on how PLUMB it was etc. No review taken probably because its only the 3rd over of the innings and the only review left.
Hawkeye saying ball clearly going over the top of the stump. Seriously WTF has happened to benefit of the doubt? In recent years ive never seen umpires more trigger happy to fire batsmen LBW with so many errors being made.

Reiffel may have had a little wager on it.

Really looking forward to the World Cup, the last few have been so so, but seems to be a number of contenders this time, plus a good time slot for us Aussies and teams really pushing the run rate to new levels is making the 50 over game more interesting IMO.

World No.1 ODI all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended by the International Cricket Council after failing to report “corrupt approaches” in 2018.

The 32-year-old was handed a two-year ban from cricket, with one year suspended, after he failed to inform authorities about being approached by a bookmaker on multiple occasions in 2018.

The charges related to a series of text messages between the Bangladesh captain and alleged corruptor Deepak Aggarwal.

After attempting to organise a meeting with Al Hasan in late 2017, Aggarwal began asking for information starting when Bangladesh hosted an ODI tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in January, 2018. “Bro anything in this series?” read one text, the ICC said.

In April, during the Indian Premier League, Aggarwal messaged Al Hasan on the day of a game between his team Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab.

“He received a WhatsApp message from Mr Aggarwal that day asking him whether a particular player was going to be playing in the game that day, i.e. again asking for Inside Information,” the ICC statement said. “Mr Aggarwal continued this conversation with him by talking about bitcoins, dollar accounts and asked him for his dollar account details. During this conversation, he told Mr Aggarwal that he wanted to meet him “first”.”

Al Hasan admitted to deleting several other messages from this conversation after becoming concerned Aggarwal was “dodgy” and a bookie

The ban effectively rules out Shakib from next year’s ICC World Twenty20, which will be held from October 8 to November 15 in Australia.

Former England captain and Fox Cricket commentator Michael Vaughn had no sympathy for Al Hasan, tweeting the Bangladesh captain’s punishment was not sufficient.

“No sympathy whatsoever for Shakib Al Hasan, none whatsoever,” said Vaughan.

“In this era the players get briefed all the time about what they can and can’t do and what they have to report straightaway. Two years isn’t enough. It should have been longer.”

With 3862 Test runs and 210 wickets in 56 matches, Al Hasan is Bangladesh’s third-highest run-scorer and highest wicket-taker. He is currently sitting at No.3 in the Test allrounder rankings and at No.1 in the ODI allrounder rankings.

Al Hasan was named in the 2019 Cricket World Cup Team of the Tournament after scoring 606 runs at an imposing average of 86.57, including seven 50+ scores in eight innings. He is the first player to score 500+ runs and claim 10+ wickets during an ICC tournament.

Al Hasan accepted the ban, admitting his mistake was damaging for the fight against corruption in cricket.

“I am obviously extremely sad to have been banned from the game I love, but I completely accept my sanction for not reporting the approaches,” said al Hasan.

“The ICC ACU is reliant on players to play a central part in the fight against corruption and I didn’t do my duty in this instance.

“Like the majority of players and fans around the world, I want cricket to be a corruption free sport and I am looking forward to working with the ICC ACU team to support their education programme and ensure young players don’t make the same mistake I did.”

The turmoil over Shakib came just days before Bangladesh were to embark on their first-ever full-pledged bilateral series in India featuring three Twenty20 internationals and two Tests.

Shakib was expected to lead the team in both series.

ICC General Manager for Integrity Al Marshall suggested Al Hasan was well-informed about the consequences of neglecting to report corruption.

“Shakib Al Hasan is a highly-experienced international cricketer,” said Marshall.

“He has attended many education sessions and knows his obligations under the Code. He should have reported each of these approaches.”

Amazing that PNG won that game to begin with, they were 6/19! Their number 8 made 54 from 48 getting them to 118 then they rolled Kenya for 73.
