Hunt done very well in the toughest position, hard to judge Kerber on one outing but you can only make the most of your opportunities, Nielsen showed promise for a developing player, hopefully he continues to grow as we'll see less of Carey before too long.

Lehmann had a nice return but batted when the heat was out, would love to see him with them returns batting at 4 or 5.

The bowling numbers are embarrassing, we need a Siddle or Bird to spearhead our attack. On a bright note, at least the bowling returns were poor across the board.

You’re too generous mate.
They finished bottom not top.
I know it was mainly our bowlers but stats don’t show when batters made their runs.
Not enough runs when the heat was on.

Probably, I'm in a good mood atm, it won't take long to be driven into the round and pummeled like a $20 hooker.

I don't think you're being generous because the stats show that SA was the second highest scoring team this season and the stats would show when batsmen make their runs, you'd just have to really look into it and come up with a way of showing the stats in a way that showed the batsman didn't make runs when they really need to (maybe making a low score when chasing a target compared to the team making a 300 plus score or something like that, first and second innings runs difference) but runs are needed all the time in cricket so to suggest they didn't get runs when needed is an inaccurate view IMO because teams ALWAYS need runs no matter what situation of a match. Sometimes players make runs and sometimes they don't, that's cricket and consistent is obviously something they all strive for.

The Sheffield Shield ladder on MyCricket worked for me this morning, I'm not trying to defend the batsmen here I'm just trying to show runs or batting weren't the issue for South Australia this season, clearly it was not taking wickets.

Also, to my defence I only commented on the pass marks, the failures are what you are alluding to.

Ferg gets a C.

Scott, Davis, Bosisto, McInerney and Cooper all get F's, they combined for 216 runs from 16 innings' at an average of 13.5, them numbers added to other players spasmodic failures contributes to us not scoring enough consistently.

Yes, it was a disappointing season but at least we showed some fight with the bat.

And an overall bowling average of 64.59, yuck indeed.
SA had a overall batting average of 34.29.

That's basically saying every team averages 646 runs plus byes and leg byes every innings against us!!!!!!!

And we average 342 plus extra's in return.

Shaun Tait once took 65 wickets in a season by himself!!!!! Now the team can't even get that between them!

Did we drop a shit load of catches?
Could be a contributing factor to some degree.
The bowling coach must be under the pump, whoever that is?

Perhaps it's more the pitches that are getting prepared as well? Offers stuff all for the bowlers unless you're in Tassie.

Also we aren't using the Duke ball anymore are well after xmas?

Too many draws, if we want to emulate true test conditions, play the matches over 5 days.

Sam Harper out obstructing the field!

Advanced and hit it back to Worrall then got in the way of the throw. Happened quickly but looked deliberate to me

Was out of his crease when the throw struck him in front of the stumps. Also moved from an offside to legside to protect them. Out every day of the week.

Instinctive move, just brainfarted.

Head opening the bowling?
Pope back in there, did he have a good arse end of the district season?
How do we start getting on top and then allow Hazbeen Handscomb and some Wine bloke come in and start dispatching us like Suburban Taxi's?

WTF is Worrall wearing in his ear?
A $ sign stud it looks like.

Just why?
Must be a dare of some sort.
Good to see the backs are focussed on the game if that's the case.
