Pukovski/Harris/ or whoever puts their hand up at the start of the season and smashes the door down with runs as the other opener
Patterson (there's a reason why he got a contract) or Head for #5 (Carey an outside chance if he fills his boots with runs - see above)
Pattinson/Starc/J Richardson for the other fast bowling slot

Puc's spot to lose and he will have a massive year IMO. Starc can **** off sick of his short crap but a lot of that is on the coach. Would like to see Carey but no Wade please. Pattinson for Starc is what should happen but won't.

Rik E Boy wrote:Should be only Ashes this thread **** the hit and giggle. Been watching England a lot and they are seriously shit. Got some good pace bowlers but they can't bat, don't have a decent spinner and their two guns average 35 over here. Look out for Wood and Robinson don't mind them as cricketers but Joe Root remains the key wicket yet again. Expect Burns to edge his way to a decent score at some time and for Dom Sibley to bore us all silly as he is a poor man's cook. Crawley looked like he was about to kick on but didn't so they don't have a number three and somehow the limited Bairstow is back in the side. Buttler will hit some nice shots but because of a rubbish top order he will be forced to bat in an unnatural style anytime we get Root on the cheap.

We will go in with the same brain dead bounce em out game plan that failed against India but it will work this time as England's best isn't as good as the Indian Reserves who beat us last year. Watch us pick Starc, who is majorly cooked but hopefully we get rid of Wade who is a poor man's Buttler and that is poor. No way we lose this series. Poms are crap. Even worse than us.

Very accurate REB. This will be 5 zip flogging coming. We have one batsmen and all our quick bowlers we wanted to play here are hurt so we will roll out the same medium pacers we always do and smith will make 5 million runs. Stokes not coming over is a massive blow.

Won't be 5 zip. We arent that good and our tactics are shocking. 3-1 I reckon.

Not sounding good for the Ashes, appears the England players arent too happy with having to come and put up with things

either a second tier side coming or the series being cancelled.

If cancelled does that mean we win 5 zip lol ;)

Sounds like the groundwork for excuses.

WE played a second/third string team against them due to WSC. They may play better with players who grasp the opportunity.

Will it go ahead ? or are the ECB just squeezing the ACB for as much as they can get

https://inews.co.uk/sport/cricket/ashes ... ed-1230734

Says the ACB will be bankrupted if the tour doesn't take place.

Some of their players wont come under the current government laws, and the laws wont change because a few English cricketers want it to.

Reckon the tour will go ahead with an undermanned England side. We will win 5-0, they will uncover a couple of gems and then go home and beat us on their turf.

The ones with the greatest concern are those who are staying on for the T20 World Cup so they will be the ones who will boycott imo.

NSW will have 7 day quarantine by time the tour starts so won’t be a issue. They will have to scrap Perth though as their rules are ridiculous

Looks like Ashes is going ahead.

England are apparently happy with the conditions offered.

No one has said what those conditions actually are though.

Our best player and the bloke we had been banking on to come to Australia to bowl rapid out is pretty big losses. Also Stone is an underrated out due to Injury.
