Not surprising we bowed out with that fraud Arnold in charge. His record in major tournament flops continues unblemished

Speaking of chokes ;)

That's a pretty ignorant comment. If the Olyroos don't proceed to the knockout rounds, that's not a choke. What is a choke are countries like France, Germany and Argentina missing out.

Relax....I was taking the piss.
Choking is not winning the big games when you should.
We should've beaten Egypt shouldn't we?

Thought they played well enough to get the equaliser, but their goalie pulled off a couple of good saves. Not sure why Arnold put the big defender on as a centre forward .... he never got near it. Those suspensions were very costly. Not to be.

We played like busted arses after the Argentina game which was basically handed to us.

Never looked like scoring in the final two games.

Hard to say anyone played well tonight.

Arnie had absolutely no Plan B so has to wear this one.

Tsuzuki came 9th at Margret River and 5th at Rottnest Island on the WSL back in May so its not a random result.

Did anyone see the coverage of Simone Biles withdrawal they played last night?
The commentators standing there saying what a hero she is for leaving her team mid-final.

Amazing the difference in how she's painted as a hero for quitting vs how the media treated lay down sally.

I did smirk however when the very next segment following the Biles commentary was a throwback to Kerri Strung and Bruce spent the next three minutes talking about real bravery.

And Chalmers is beaten by less than a third of a second.

Did his contribution in the relay yesterday add that 1% to his time?

Perhaps not, it's apparently his PB.

Equalled his PB

Swan faster than he did at Rio

Just a touch in it.

Did all he could

Will always be an Olympic Champion
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

0.06s was the gap.

He took two breaths in the last 10m of the race, normally they say put your head down and you can breathe after you've touched the wall.
Upon review that might be his 'what if' moment rather than the relay.

He loves the relays anyway, recon he'd have sat out the individual before the relays if he was forced to pick one.

Impressive kid, spoke well after the race, as always.

There is so much to like about him.

roughly 10mins to go to the women's 4x200m relay.

Amazing to look at the times.

Mollie O'Callaghan swam a 1:55.11 off the gun in the heats for the relay.
To put that in perspective, that would have placed her 5th in the final of the individual 200m free, ahead of Ledecky.
It's also the youth world record, as Mollie is only 17 years old.

Mollie didn't get to swim the individual 200m free as she wasn't in our top two qualified.
In fact, she won't even swim the final of the 4x200m as she isn't considered in our top 4 for the event.

O'Callaghan, Harris, Throssell and Cook were our 4 who swam the heats, all 4 will be subbed out for the final.
Titmus, Wilson, McKeon and Neale will not only be swimming for themselves, they'll be swimming to win gold for the 4 girls from the heat.

And to think, we've got the two Campbell sisters outside of the 8 mentioned above, safe to say we've got some depth in the women's freestyle at the moment!
