Boring game, but that can happen in group games when both teams happy to proceed to quarter finals with a nil all draw.

Tough call. Brutal sport in as far as 1 small error is a massive penalty.

Did the same in Rio.
Struggles to get it done when it really matters.

I think the river sports are a bit different to say swimming or running, where you simply execute your skills and you win, there isn't any outside influence.
In the river sports things are different, you get a degree of luck. Hitting the wash or getting a lucky break through the hole are things you need to go your way. So you might be the number one ranked athlete, but that's based on results over a full season where the luck works itself out, yet in any individual race, you are still at the mercy of the river gods.

I look at it more like a poker tournament, the best players will win more often than not over the course of their careers, but in an individual tournament they are only slightly better chances of winning than the average punter next to them.

The number one ranked swimmer might win 70% of the time, but the number one paddler might only win 30%.

Similar to our surfers, the better guys will win more often that the bad guys, but in an individual final, you are hoping the wave stands up at the right time for you.

She made 2 mistakes. 1 and she still wins Gold.
You can’t continue to go in as World Champion and blow it yet again without copping some criticism

How many mistakes did you make at work today? And what did it cost you?
None today.
Depending on severity of mistake it could cost millions and I’d be out the door with 1 strike

Tsuzuki came 9th at Margret River and 5th at Rottnest Island on the WSL back in May so its not a random result.
Choke job by Aussies this Olympics
Bit harsh IMO. Thanks to our swimmers we're a good shot at exceeding our London and Rio tallies. I think Fox would be our only favourite beaten so far. Swings and roundabouts though; I don't think K. McKeown and Titmus were favourites for gold.

Edit: actually Barty had a shocker too.
Titmus is the reigning World Champion at both short and long course.
McKeown was the World record holder in her event leading into it.

Canada 1 Great Britain 0 after 75 mins, so Matildas play Canada if it stays that way.

Probably the most dominant performance I can recall.

Hungarian Swimmer Malik wins the 200m butterfly by more than 2.5 seconds. Was against the wall turned around watching the others come in.

Yup absolute beast.

Aussie women's quad just picked up a bronze from the outside lane in the rowing too, good effort.

How good is the rowing

Stroke at over 38/min for 6 mins solid all in unison, skill execution required to spot on (exit, carry over the water, re-entry has to be perfect).

Amazing sport.

Get on your concept II ergo at your local gym tonight and try and hold 35 strokes/min for 2 min and see how long you last*.... (@Pseudo ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
