Grand Final Costs

Postby FOURTH ESTATE » Sat Jan 22, 2011 12:52 pm

Just a quick one for all SFL posters.

What does it cost to go to the SFL Grand Final and how many games do you get to see on the day?

Do your club delegates also get to set and approve prices or does the SFL Exe set them and you have no say?
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

SFL Finals cost $7 for adults (16 yrs or over), $4 concession card holders, with kids U16 free.
(Recent years Sth Adel Hickinbotham Oval)
Grand Final day starts with U14s at 8am, then U16s, U18s, B Grade and A Grade at the one oval.

SFL gives Clubs a cheque to cover the entrance fees of the players paticipating in the Grand Finals for U18s, B's & A's as these players are required to pay entrance fees at the gate.
Support staff and Coaches pay their own way, unless their club pays the entrance fee for them.
In the lead up finals everyone pays, including the players.
As U14s & U16s get in for free within SFL, they are not charged for any final.

The SFL Website has a letter from SFL President Craig Warman in response to negative feedback relating to finals gate fees and income from finals going straight to SFL income.

SFL asks for expressions of interest to run the BBQs on GF Day as a fundraiser for their club.

Delegates are advised of fee increases, but generally don't have the power to over-ride them.
