So in just assuming Noarlunga wont field a senior side by round 1, would that mean christies would cop a forfeit round 1 giving noarlunga "more time to recruit off facebook" or would it be a newly instated bye round replacing each teams would be game against the shoes?

You would hope they've been given a deadline, and if they fail to meet that, it's a bye & nine team comp.

However, this is the SFL and strategic decisions ain't their strong suit...

Hearing that the Shoes are only nominating a B grade, and juniors. I guess rules change but I always thought you had to fill an A grade as your first senior side....

What juniors? They haven't fielded their own u17 team for 4 years (last year was majority Cove kids who weren't picked), and by all accounts barely have an U15s this year.

They should make them play C grade

What an absolute joke that is. The fact of the matter if they are just scraping a B grade side together they will finish bottom. May as well play them in the A grade and have the other grades start a little later to cover the B grade match. And still finish bottom in the A grade. At the end of the day. Poor planning of the future of the club a decade ago has caused this. Now eat that humble pie and field the A grade side.

The Emus had C grade players playing in their A grade last year, simply got on with it and looked to improve.

Their plight goes far beyond a senior team rebuild, this is complete lack of whole club planning, solely focusing on buying A grade flags, which they hilariously failed at.

They'll be miles off the top B grade teams anyway, even with the handful of A grade players left there. Wonder how many will even bother playing if B grade is all they're going to offer?

Besides, bugger playing against that mob as an opposition A grader and get belted for your troubles. They're going to struggle to even exist beyond this year
