I think Shane Lynch seems like a very good appointment if the rebuild at Aldinga is anything to go by? Is he bringing in his own support staff ie assistant coach?

Also does anyone know the reason Lynch left the Sharks?

I've heard from a good source that Lynch is going to Hackham and is looking to take a few players with him.

Hahaha well cheese twisties, I can't speak on behalf of those 2 blokes, but the word coming out of aldingas committee is that lynch has gone to hackham and is taking some players with him, it is very strong down there with some people having very strong feelings about that...

Haven't been keeping my ear to the ground much of late - all I've heard is that Lynch is going to Hackham for a rather large sum of $$$. I imagine that he would try to take players with him, but I don't see this as anything to worry about. For one - it's Hackham. (Nothing wrong with that, and if Steady had signed with Hackham instead of Aldinga then I'd probably be all Hurray For Hackham! right now. But Aldinga is on the way up and Hackham has a long way to go before they reach that stage.) For another - what can Lynch offer these players except a lucrative contract? Is he going to get people out on the training track?

Look, I might be wrong about this - I'll say that I don't know for a fact if Lynch is going to Hackham, and I don't know for a fact that he's trying to poach players from Aldinga. But I will say that if it is true, then that's just bulls**t. What the hell was all that talk about improving the Sharks if you're just going to bleed them dry at the end of it. Where's the bloody loyalty?

And if it's not true, my apologies, and I'll shut up.

I guess time will tell how the new coach will go. But I reckon that it's a step in the right direction in getting an experienced coach.

Have the Hawks had their presentation night yet? If so who were the award winners?

Also who will coach the reserves and under 18's next season?
