Great night at the Shoe with the announcement of captains, well done Matty D and the presentation of the seniour squad jumpers.
All sides filled with some lads missing out! the bar has been set by the coaching staff and if you dont do the work you dont get a gig.
Great numbers in the juniours with the announcement of a second 16 side.
Well done also to all in the kitchen again a great job.

Good luck to all coaches and players for the w/end

How did everone else go filling sides??
How did you find the new system of entering teams??
How many phone calls regarding clearances??

Yeah dingy had great numbers as expected with Joel Harman being announced as Captain for "09" a great effort for a very skillful/ passionate bloke of the club. The leadership group looks great with Tyler Harman, Ken stewart, Luke Golding, Liam shrive and James Hearne all assisting Joel to take charge.

We weren't 100% on depth at the club but after Brad announcing his side and the roll over in to the 2's it is obvious that we are looking very secure with the amount of talent throughout.

Shoeboy the new system....was there til 10 getting it right and figuring out which blokes aren't registered properly, pain in the ass but the first night was always going to be the hardest. I was told Grae for the Boot gets his info off of this site aswell? Do you know if that's correct?

Cool wasn't to sure on that. Thanks mate

Jezza Rigney in the leadership group, must have made a fair impression all pre season, fair effort looks as though he is fitting in nicely at the Shoe.

Jezza has been gold all pre season with a great attitude and deserves his role in the leadership group.

Hey GTP, i was asking a question on how the boys pulled up after their antics, to be told that i know nothing about what happened (by someone who obviously knew nothing about what happened, and admitted they werent there) and then was told that i had embarassed myself, cos i was wrong. When i was right there and seen everything that happened. I was simply asking a question as i hadnt heard anymore on the subject and now you guys are all ganging up on me and having a go. A bit like the day in question actually, atleast this time you guys arent fighting with yourselves!!

Just asking a question ????? just a lot of mischievous crap if you ask me !!!! The Flaggies boys are as tight as I've ever seen a team, and I don't really give a s***t what anyone thought they saw .... If the truth be known, maybe there's just a little bit of FEAR in anyone who bags em !!

Funny how its suddenly gone from a team that's branded as "soft" to a team that has to "train in cages" in a couple of posts .... hmmmmmm

The Mole is clearly an idiot! Those who were at the races know the true story and dont doubt anyones commitment to the team and each other. He obviously believes that we have recruited around 10 Plympton blokes to our squad, as that is the only way were fighting against each other.

Get a clue Mole. Spreading untrue stories might be a great past time of yours, but Im not too sure many others cant be bothered reading your blatant bullsh!t.

I never said any of what you said! I never said there was doubt about anyones commitment, Plus i havent said anything that was untrue, i was simply asking a question on how it all ended up. A simple yeah the boys sorted it out and have moved on would of been fine, but you guys have blown it all up, trying to cover up the true stories of what happened. No need to have a dig at me, i was there with 3 other mates (all from different clubs) and through seeing and talking to the flaggies boys who were involved on the day all got the same story. What started all the trouble is what you guys are hidng from, thats not a problem of mine, each to their own but no need to have a go at me i was just simply asking a question which is obviously a bit of a touchy one down at flaggy land.
Move on

it would be good to see the big red match up on clayton lavender again! even with his bigger new arms he would still think twice about giving clayton a cheapy after last time!!

How that Baxter bloke never managed to atleast get on a rookie list is beyond me!!

His left arm was also "hanging around his neck" after he shattered his collar bone in the pre-lim final last year!

Asert IMHO Flaggies should be trying to challenge the likes of Reynella this year, hence why they have gone and recruited your good self, which is why i found it strange you tipped the Flys by 5. Which i see you have now changed anyway, good work.

Hey $hoe Boy did i see Matty Despott is your captain this year?

Pity no-one told him the actual teams were on the site. Then when he finally twigged that the forms clubs sent to him were somehow linked to the Website he went there searching for those that hadn't come in, and couldn't find any teams there at all !!! Makes you think you need a code to get in. If so how come nobody told him
Then theres the Website forms that a couple of clubs faxxed ---- came through with absolutely tiny writing that was almost unreadable. ~x(
Just another case of the powers that be treating the Boot guy like a mushroom.

only cos we sufferred about 9 injuries last week cheese twisties but about 6 of those pulled up well. i guess you can do that when your that young. as i said we are now going in nearly full strength and i really do believe there are going to be some big upsets this year as this club is heading somewhere

So how are all clubs finding the new player points system? Flaggies came close to the limit with a massive 23 points  , all players 1 pointers except for 2...

Would imagine a few teams might come close to the mark, wouldnt have thought any teams would need to leave players out as they over allocated points???

I take it this means you were doing it on a computer. If that's the case would the club be able to email it to me rather than fax ? Even emailing it later at home would be OK. :) The fax came through with very tiny writing. It was like squinting at a postage stamp.
That 10pm deadline was never my idea. It was the League's instructions to clubs in an attempt to help me out, but I'm actually happy accepting them up even past midnight (especially if its by email).

was lucky enough to witness the awesome game between hackham and edwardstown today! hackham are a joke! they have somehow got worse! and the club is obviously no better. after the game, (infront of a new SFL team) a classy female supporter, decided to start abusing and belting another female from the same club. and when her partner, or brother or whatever stepped in. HIM and her went toe to toe!! belting each other and spitting on each other infront of the edwardstown balcony! when asked to leave they thought they would start abusing random townies supporters, trying to coax a fight!
Edwardstown must be wondering what they have got themselves into!
hackham are an absolute joke!!!
