Settle down sunshine, a closer look will enlighten you to the fact the Christies Beach are actually sitting on top.

You will find that FLY has flown away from the Reynella nest and has situated closer to TOWN. 'Leather', this poster is trying to promote a bit of arrogance or sledging before his/her team meets them in a few weeks. The Reynella boys are fully aware that the business starts in August and it gets serious in September, and are aware of their track record.

Any win from a top 6 team against another top 6 team (especially if they have had the wood on them) is a good win. Also aware its more important to win those matches in September.

For the record, Edwardstown are in the mix. Close match against quality of Morphies, win lose or draw, says you are around the mark.

Spot on Phantom, exactly my point.
I reckon DTH has made the best point on this forum today. The one big thing we can all look forward to this year is the end of those lop-sided Elim Finals. There's going to be eight quality sides fighting it out ---- roll on September !!!

But going on your theory of Edwardstown drawing with Morphett Vale wouldn't that mean Porties are only a kick behind both of these teams?? They only lost to Towns by less than a kick...

Results are one thing but the way a team goes about getting those results are another. Morphies didn't deserve to draw, let alone win, on the weekend.

We took it as a loss, Towns seemed to be happy as if it was a win.

Towns certainly didn't feel it was a win... Towns entitled to be more 'content' on the final siren given they were 14 pts down late in the quarter and managed to level the scores and grab a p/point... That would better summarise the post game moods of the clubs... That & of course Morphett Vale's somewhat justified ARROGANCE!

Anyone who beats Morphett Vale is a huge top 4 chance and deserves credit no matter the circumstances. Emus obviously not travelling as well as previous years but will get their act together when it matters (september). They definately have lost that air of invincibilty at the moment but they are STILL the team to beat.

We should be all wrapped that we are likely to have a final 8 at years end with everyone deserving to play finals with a hope of going deeper into September rather than some token additions who get flogged week 1. Townies also won the B grade so they must have some depth however lack of C grade and Under 18's will surely pose a problem at some stage of season. Reynella too good for the Bombers. We led by 1 point at 3 qtr time but that was flattering. Reynella kicked 2 goals in first 90 seconds of last quarter and it was all over. Earl put effective tags on Johnstone and King and we just couldn't prevent Milo from doing as he pleased from half-back. Young Moyle looks a prospect. Unlike our Emu friends, no excuses from Bomberland, Reynella just too good. And I hope for Panther 32's sake, that will be his worst game for the year because any more like that and you'll be getting asked to report for duty at 11.30am each week.

At what point have any Emus put up an excuse?? I think our descriptions were pretty similar to yours we didn't deserve to win but probably still should have, which was disappointing, no one to blame but ourselves for it.

first game ive seen this year was the reynella V brighton game and i was impressed with the game, reynella should of won by more than 5 goals, controlled the footy all day and had a heap more inside 50s,if you stop toddy j and kingy they have nothing but give it to me give it to me runners, should be a good year this year by the look of things in the league, and as for the edwardstown if there good enough for top 4 its round 4 boys and girls, too get a draw too morphies says a lot it was 21 V 21 on the day i would say anytime any team would take that

Seems kind of a coincidence that we haven't heard from you for such a long time and then when there is alot of unwanted attention towards Edwardstown that you all of a sudden get on here and start talking up Reynella trying to take the focus away from Edwardstown.... :-k [-X

In a number of posts last season Fly assured us that Reynella would come good once they became familiar with the gameplan. Perhaps he could could give us some detail about the changes of gameplan under their new coach then if he is such a staunch supporter of Reynella...?

$hoe$ still looking to top up their list b4 june 30 with a few as mentioned previously, one confirmed is Adam Widdison back to the shoe. Would he walk straight back into the A grade?

Also anyone know where M.Bode from M/Vale is this season? S.Hunt from Aldinga? and whats the reason J.Mcpherson 18s medal and goal kicking winner is playing C grade for brighton?????

A very good contest and standard of footy. I thought S Mcivor was very clean and won the midfield consistently.
Tyler was good in the back half but surley somone can buy him some shorts.
The rucks where a concern for you lads but the onballers where consistently winning the contested footy. On the ruck contests I noted that when in your forward area the big bloke they call panda woulnt ruck and at times Mason had to ruck?
On the big bloke he uses his strength well but is unfit and rarely chased his opponent.

Christies a much improved outfit but this week will be a good test.

Anyone that read on here or spoke to one of the 1000 people at the game could have told you I didn't get a kick! What about when you asked me preseason to speak to Edwardstown because that was where you were headed??? Just coincidence again???
