Yeah, tough break Saul !! Hope it goes well for a full recovery. Always sad to see a player go down in their prime, and Saul is a great example of a huge potential we may never get to see.

Dazza you must be tired after all those posts
I actually like Sweendogs Posts - nothing like a bloke wrapping his team up to be something there not and taking a huge fall and still giving us a laugh about how good they will be come finals, pity you dont play finals in 9th or 10th spot :)

The winners this week!

Aldinga V Brighton Brighton top of the table and will be for a while.

C/Beach V Cove Cove to bounce back after a bad loss.

Townies V Reynella Would love to be at this one and look forward to the fly's post. The loss of big Milo sways me to a Townie win.

Marion V M/Vale M/Vale too good.

M/Park V Pt Noarlunga The land of the giants and over hanging trees! Porties to continue their good form.

Noarlunga V H/Valley The Shoes to stand up in our own back yard and get a big scalp.

Lonsdale V F/Hill Lonsdale with to many injuries. Flaggies.

And Hackham can have a breather!

Good luck.

at least sweendog is confident in his team he does go a bit over board sometimes, but i think the saints will make the 8, we have got a pretty good run into the finals.
Whats the deal with the draw to we play sullies and hackham twice before we even play marion, noarlunga and morphie parks should you play all teams once before ya start playing others twice seems weird to me.
Does It Look Like I Give A F**k

I think that might be why he's a BIG pick up.

Whoa !!! Has the lad blown out .... he was a beanpole when he was young !!!
One thing hasn't changed though obviously .... the fact he changes clubs at the drop of a hat after making a commitment.

Dazza, did you see Thomo some where else, cause he didn't play on the weekend and i'm pretty sure he wasn't at the ground.

Aldinga v. Brighton -----a Bomber romp
Christies v. Cove ---- an embarrassed Cobra will bolt in
Edwardstown v. Reynella ---- Towns by a couple of goals
Marion v. Morphett Vale ---- Rams won't get near them. Margin could be anything.
Lions v. Flaggies ---- Falcons by five
Noarlunga v. Valley ---- nice to see you positive Shoe Boy, but Vikings in form now and will win comfortably
Morph Park v. Port ---- could turn out to be the match of the round --- Roos by a whisker on their home ground
Hawks won't lose this week :D

Yeah I totally agree on with you about the game between MParks and Porties, looking forward to seeing the result. May well give us more of an indication as to where the twisties are at.

[quote="asert"][quote="sweendog"]oi asert, how did the meeting go the other night. crisis meeting without the coach im told from a younger flaggies bloke who reckons that the youngens want the coached sacked or they will leave. not happy with how the coach is bagging them all the time. would be good if you could tell the truth on here for once.

Porties don't fall over and die when they are meeting the top powers.

Beats me Dilli, I've been shaking my head about how the SFL draw pans out for a number of years.
Guess when the showdown between Brighton and the Emus comes ? Try August !!!!!

Boys - It was the players at Richmond who asked their coach to leave - not Flaggies.

Next week you will be on here saying the dreaded swine flu has ripped through Flagstaff Hill, ala Fremantle. Actually, this rumour might have more substance.......we are the bushpigs after all!!!!

Just on the SFL fixture lads. They do a draft seeded draw that has everyone play once until Round 15 with the the first 4 rounds seeded i.e top teams from 2008 play each other and vice versa for the lower teams. These become the teams you play again in the last 4 rounds. But then to prevent a whole series of weeks where top sides are playing bottom sides for 5 or 6 weeks in a row in middle of season, they swap a few rounds around just to break things up a bit. I think the original Round 16 and 17 were swapped with 12 & 13 or something along those lines. This didn't occur last season but did occur in 2006 and 2007 from memory. It also means club juniors more likely to avoid having consecutive Byes or Venue shifts.
