I understand your point about morphy parks and a junior program but they have got minis and it takes a while to get these kids through to seniors. At lonsdale we are also in a similar position to them, probably at half there payments though. We have been trying to get under 14s for a few years but i think from next year we will see some results of the minis finally coming through to under 14s. So far we have one of our old sub juniors playing senior footy and we will hopefully have many more in the future.

Roos have landed another tall player in morgan billings. Was he previously from South Adelaide? Is tom his brother?
The points (player point system) and money must be running very low now at roo land.
With no juniors at all and not a heap of depth in B's, when the money dries up, I reckon we will see a repeat of the Morphie park of 2 and 3 years ago, 20-40 goal drubbings.

He is toms brother but a midfielder i would have thought rather than key position. Was at PHOS and marion prior to that. He will tell u how good he is but can actually play. Left Marion after a blew with the fat john fidge!

morgs at morph parks!!! he was at marion for a few years. not tall, not key position but very solid guy.
lives by his own rules and gets caught holding the ball alot, but a quality player nonetheless.
and i think every1 had blews with the Fidge, he only liked you if you were ex-SANFL

hey sweendog have you have you got an alias on this forum goes by the name skimmer box? Also with my investigations I understand that morphy parks go to the bank every year and take out a loan to pay players and hope to god that they can pay it back. This year I hear it was $50,000. Also heard Morphett vale got plenty back this week apparently 6 or 7 A grade grand final players playing in the 2.

Heard from a very reliable source the bar at Morphy Parks turns over 150 - 200k per year so i doubt they would need to take out a loan but that does leave alot of money to spend on players.

Yes Morphy Pk has started a Past Players Club this year, the club has done alot towards becoming more professional and these past players who were keen to help towards this.
Our first luncheon is today with Tony McGuiness as guest speaker and roughly 80-90 past players coming.

Match abandoned at Morphy Parks ! One of the Port Noarlunga boys was hurt half way throught the 2nd quarter and required an ambulance. He was in the change rooms, but there were concerns about both his lungs and neck/back so everything was done "according to the book" to ensure the players safety, and unfortunately thar meant the game was suspended for over 30 mins because the ambulance was parked on the ground and the umpires abandoned the game.

Both teams no dount felt "robbed" as Porties kicked the 1st 6 goals, then Morphies the next 3 or 4, so it was shaping as a good one, but in the end the players health must come first!

I don't mind alot of what Shoe Boy says, and trust me he is on every league every topic you name it he knows it all.
I do have a problem with a guy who is the size of a beached whale, lives in the shadow of his brother (who is a legend of football and cricket) and does nothing but slag off other clubs etc unless they are Shoe related.
What about the feral element at last Sunday mornings mini where 2 car loads of middle age men are swigging in to the Jacks at 8 bells.
What a great club to be involved with, where is the football promotion in an environment of half wacked middle age men.
C'mon Shoe Boy get your butt off the couch if you really love your club and get down and promote a family friendly environment.

Might be another 2 years before you get back on if you keep posting that garbage !
