Bloody Hell- just what we need this week. LOL

Dicko is a gun player and Schutz on his day can kick a bag. I rate Schutz only because I played my best ever A grade game on him a few years back! My only messenger vote... 8)

Heard on the grape vine that the big bad wolf (SFL Board) will huff and puff about players not fronting for Association/Country championships but will not be doing anything about it.
:o not
IE: no suspensions no fines. should make DTH happy as his blokes need the rest. But what of the consequences for the the clubs competing on the weekend. One sends it players away as should happen to encourage the experience and higher levels of footy and another keeps them at home to play against the weakened club, could be some vital results this weekend.

Heard on grapevine that big Seb from Morphie Parks wants to play Southern Districts this weekend but coach not happy about him playing because of big game against Shoes this week, cant blame the coach for that but shouldnt stop the lad playing rep footy.
Why isnt there a bye to let these guys play then the SFL can put on penalties if they want.
Got to feel sorry for the big fella and didnt the same thing happen to Tedmanson a couple of years ago.

If guys dont want to play why dont they just say they have to work on the saturday morning or sunday then the league cant do anything can they. No one is a professional footballer and it would not be hard to get a letter from their employer to say they worked. If a player wants to play and their club wont let them then that club isn't thinking long term. I would have thought big seb playing this week would do more for player retention and recruitment than stopping the bloke from playing. Why would you want to play for a club that is only concerned about themselves and not the players development. Good luck to all the guys playing this weekend.

Waterboy,
Did young Tills from the Shoe make the squad as when I spoke with him he looked forward to playing and being part of the carnival.
I might add with the clubs best wishes.

I didn't hear a lot of the squad so not sure about Tills, sorry. Just noticed that Barry Pilmore stumbled a bit/lot when reading out Seb's name when reading it out.

I know he missed the first training session and spoke with Bazz about that due to late notice and the fact Tills lives down Grange.
After talking to Tills he told me last week he looked forward to the challenge and we gave him Bazzs number and directions to Straph but saying that I am sure the side has plenty of onballers to call on.

Good luck to all the lads playing.

Shane will be good and will take a load of big Shultz this will give the side other options and as far as injuries we as all clubs will just deal with that.
Depth is something we have improved on and am sure whoever gets tapped on the shoulder to come up will give it a crack.

How we will go? WIN!!!!!

Although they may be two points + percentage out of the eight, their run home is far easier than the other contenders for eight spot, bar Noarlunga. Their only game against a top 7 sides is Porties, who they beat at the start of the season.

Ladder and games versus top 7 sides
MVP (11 pts 54%) 3 - 4
Christies (9 pts 45%) 1 - 7
Noarlunga (8pts 49%) 0 - 7
Flagstaff (8 pts 45% - 6 - 2
Marion (8 pts 43%) 2 - 5
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Like to congratulate Tommy Caudle on finally getting a league game for the Panthers.Toms been at South for a few years now and unlike most blokes has stuck it out and to see him finally get rewarded for his efforts is a credit to the bloke.Hes had his knockers over the journey questioning why he would continue to face up for so long, but if you really belive in yourself and continue to strive to be your best, rewards do come.Congrates mate. :D
