Mate, i agree Cove are a far better side than Flaggies, but finishing 'around the mark' is as good as finishing 12th, we only remember the winners...

You can't say you'd be happier finishing 12th than 6th for example? At least if you finish 6th you play in the finals. If you are happy finishing 12th (or out of the finals) your club will have no progression in years to come.

No-one plays footy to not at least play in the finals. If you finish in the 8 at least you have a shot

I never once said i am happy for Flaggies to finish 12th, nor would i be happy with them finishing 6th. It's first or nothing, but what i am saying is that unless you win a premiership that the season was not a success (obviously not true on all occasions, i.e teams rebuilding etc). Try to read the post properly next time and not in between the lines :)

i would like to publicly thank the glenelg football club for showing their support to the marion football club by not letting 2 possibly 3 u18's (that didnt make this weeks side) come back and not only get a game but would be very handy additions to this weeks a grade side. i guess were not morphy parks or brighton so we deserve no favours. its ok tho you guys can use our oval for your development squad games and league pre season trials. and dont worry we'll still send our 10 or so kids that are in your development squads down. thatnx alot......go tigers

Fair call. In years to come people only remember who won the flag. However, non-one wants to play in a team that struggles to make the finals. A club that is a contender is more successful than a bottom 8 club more often than not

Don't know about zero chance, if you are in the 8 there is always a chance, however it is highly unlikely

Oh very funny Cyclops......

This coming from someone whose club has possibly the worst oval in the league. It's funny how some people live in the past and cant acknowledge the hard work individuals put into improving facilities. It's a fair call that our oval WAS a disgrace, but it is far from that now. After all the rain we have had lately the surface is still in great condition without any mud or wet patches, which is a far cry from the crap we had to play on yesterday.

And hopefully for Polly's sake he can kick a bit straighter than the last time he travelled up our way, or the 100 may not be a certainty! :D
