PtNoarlunga V Brighton. Porties fighting to keep in the 8 but the top spot up for grabs so Bombers for me.

F/Hill V H/Valley Flaggies good last week but the Valley need to keep winning so Valleys here.

Hackham V Cove Cove

Marion V C/Beach Christies

M/Parks V Townies A big game for both sides one to keep in the 8 one to keep double chance. And with my mail re big Hibs out and the coach not on the track we could see an upset at the land of giants and overhanging trees.

Lonsdale V Reynella With their AFL recruit surly a wineys win.(Lion Heart with the Shoe at Aldinga I will be looking for a boundry ump! any kids that want a redback come and see me and it is yours)

M/Vale (bye)

Good luck :)

Shoeys to beat Dingys, with the Shoe cricketers keen to perform well against their footballing counterparts...Comer against Rhodes in the ruck should be interesting, thats if Ollie gets the gig again.

Brighton over Porties by 8 goals
Happy Valley by 6 goals over Flaggies
Cove by 30 goals over Hawks
Christies by 5 goals over Marion
Townies by 3 goals over M/Parks
Reynella by 15 goals over Lonsdale

Na no Ollie this week. He's been great filling in where needed with our clubs 6 best talls all not available last week he did well. The only "Ex" Shoe playing A's is young Jason Scarff. Ollie is out with a muscle in his knee giving him grief.

Big Comer may have to watch young Scotty Hunt making his return from Souths so will be very welcomed back in to a depleted line up. Keen for a good hit out it's always good listening to the shoes girls cheersquads........I mean their supporters  Sorry shoeboy you know you love it.

You are right about the hard ball gets doesnt get a heap although does get in there every so often but he defiantly is someone you can say has great footy smarts. Not quick or overly fit but plays majority of the game on the footy and just runs to the right areas racked up about 30 odd touches in the GF last year. Uses the ball well to good player and would say at this stage clear winner of B & F.

Although they have been up and down all year Cove certainly starting to gain some handy inclussions. Gill and Platten returned through the b Grade and they look to have picked up Adam Basir from the Bay played well last week and with Bornlom still a chance to return if all these players can stay fit it isnt a side any different to the one last year.

Only i think 2 or 3 players missing plus Basir and Bornlom in with some others maybe not good enough to push Brighton and MV at their very best this year but still could defiantly shake up the last month. Obviously time will tell

towns over roos by 7 goals, roo's led early but couldn't hold on. Christies one of the most undiciplined sides i have seen. When marion took the game to them they couldn't handle it and went to try and bullie marion. end result marion by 7 goals.

Very good win by Marion....

Valleys smashed flaggies, close until mid way through the second, then the floodgates opened. Think it finished 18 goals to 6.

If the beach make the eight on the back of the easiest draw it will be a disgrace to the league, especially if it is at the expense of cockles or vikings
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I reckon some of the best umpires we have had this season have been club umpires.S.Robinson was good and the club umpire from Mt Compass

After a bit of talk about Reynellas recruit during the week, I've looked through the paper and see he wasnt mentioned in the best or goal kickers? How did he go?

Over the past few years Hackham have had a few beltings, but just looked at paper to see how few mates played on weekend. Imagine playing/watching this game... Torrens Valley 85.25 d Callington 0.0 (four individual players kicked double figure goals). WOW, beating Hackham by 40-65 goals doesn't seem all that bad afterall.

had a club umpire yesterday that said it was not his job to protect the player going for the ball, he was not reynellas club umpire. The club umpires should be taught the rules otherwise a player will get seriously hurt.

Well it was a bruising encounter at Marion yesterday.
Christies came out with everything with our full back getting punched in the face before ball was bounced then CB kicking the opening 5 goals of game.
We fought our way back into the game to be up at halftime then just after the siren it erupted.
Massive all-in with Mason and McCard going head-to-head and some extremely dirty exchanges took place. Nearly every player on the field in it with the supporters, who had walked onto ground for break, just metres away.
Marion then kicked 10 to 4 goals last half to breakaway but Christies EASILY the most undisciplined side I've encountered but Marion stood up and took it. Still in the hunt for finals...

I cant believe how often guys get on here & cry about the umpires. Yes they are ordinary and they will be nearly every week. If they were better, they would be doing SANFL U18's or higher. The fact that SFL requires club umpires shows that numbers are scarse.
So you guys who whinge and say that the umpires need to learn the rules etc etc, how about you get off your bums and have a go at umpiring and you can lead the way at improving the standard, even if its school or mini's.
