Why are you slagging us off mate. You weren't there this year, you don't know what's going on.
Did you get burned by them because you seem quite bitter.
As for juniors, I guess U14 U18 and all grade minis don't count.
After losing our B&F and 2nd runner-up this year, I thought we slightly improved.
Obviously miles to go, and not making finals devastating with losses to Flaggys and Parks last week costing us.
But we came from behind 3 or 4 times to win this year, including 7 goals to nil qtrtime vs parks at start of year, and other years we would've rolled over and died. So on that note we improved.
But I guess you know better Slammer. Go slam someone else.

Wasnt really slagging you off was more replying to a comment and giving my point of view. Yes you do have 14s and 18s but are not really going anywhere like your B grade. Hopefully your Mini's can all stay at the club and work there way through but that is a 10 - 15 year process. Unfortunately spending money on players will always mean you have ins and outs each year and hard to hold people through loyalty. I hope you do improve as the league needs to be more even than it is now with just 4 or 5 good teams.
Oh and by the way coming from behind may be good but is easilly avoided by starting well.

Can't argue with that, guess we need to work on our club culture which brings loyalty which would see us moving back up.

copestick/irvine/beens/roe/goldfinch/carlyle/miller/lloyd/smart/mott/srawbridge/frick/birch/simpson/tasker/mitchell all are 18 or younger and are or have played A grade footy this year and if not A grade are playing B grade footy currently, all bar 2 are still under 18 footballers. Also well done to Dave the 18 coach who has supported the development of these lads and worked with the remainder of 18's that will play finals footy this year.

We made decissions to focus on our kids and we believe this core group will be the backbone of future success at the club.

So Trev Rigney, $am Money, and Braidwood will make up the smaller bones then next year?

Better get in line with Goolwa/ Pt Elliott and a few south east clubs lining up for the great mans services!

Hows Trev been going this year? Haven't heard too much about him, has he had a quiet year or has he still been kicking a few?

Definately a quiet year by Trev's lofty standards. One thing is for sure he wont be at Jervois next year.

Funnily enough I had a question asked to me when I was in Mildura about Trev. I wonder whether they will join the race. Some serious coin to be made up there.....Very good league!!

Can't reveal any of my sources TBB. I was asked if he's as good as everyone says he is. This site is heavily observed up there as a potential recruiting site. So when I said I lived down south he was amoungst 5-6 names mentioned. Best standard of footy I have seen outside of the SANFL up there including SFL and SAAFL divvy 1

Do they have above average player payments in the Mildura league, and do they fly Adelaide based players over like they do in the South East?

It's a mixture of everywhere. Broken Hill,Riverland,Ouyen and so on. Don't know on whether they fly blokes up, there is bloody good coin to make up there though. The question is that it's 5 hours from Adelaide so you have to give up most Saturday nights in Adelaide. It's pretty taxing. Ive spoken to many who say it's better than the WBFL in terms of standard,i'll be the judge of that in 4 weeks however the club I played at had no Adelaide based players going around at the time. There are players from Horsham going around. You would imagine they wouldnt travel that far unless the cash is good!!

Heard the same rumour W&D. If that is the case then i think the twisties are certainly more deserving of that spot in the 8 going on the last months form. Emus over towns by 10 goals today and that included kicking a disappointing 1.8 with the breeze in the 3rd 1/4. Towns with some work to do if they want to challenge the top sides. D Hibberd played 2's today and was comprehensively beaten gathering maybe 5 touches and no goals .

Hibbs in the 2s and townies well beaten, not what you want going into the finals. Any news on the brighton reynella game? Go you Roos if the rumour is true, will we hear from shoe boy?

Yep, Falcons over Shoes by 22pts I think.

Flaggies led most of the game, although Shoes hit the front briefly in the 3rd. Flaggies led by 38 before a couple of late ones from the shoes made it look more respectable. Overall, a good tough game of footy :)

comprehensively beaten on 1 leg! kicked 1, will be lucky to play again this yr if at all... pretty disapointing way for arguably the best forward in the comp over 10 yrs to go out.

So Morphy Parks didn't train for nothing then. Good to see, much better than the Shoes from what I have seen,. Can they take it up to the Cobras though? If they finished 5th.

I heard that the Mighty Hawks finally snagged one. Is this true?? I heard A's and B's both got up, but I have heard alot of crap though. I hope it is true. I guess the Sunday Mail will tell. And do the Shoes suffer from premature congratulations??

I have heard the same thing, but only the A's getting up. Don't know by how much though. Huge backward step for Sharks.
