You mean that the Emus win, or under a goal
Agree with all four winners, but Towns won't be far away from Brighton and Morphie Park will give Cove a surprising battle.
Valley will smash the Saints. After that game at the Port last week the draw was a travesty of justice.

absolutely, emu to win in a very close game.

Since the inception of the final eight in the SFL, how many teams that finished 5-8 have won at least two games in the finals series? If so, where did they finish in the minor round?

Any merit in granting home ground advantage (apart frmo the GF) to the higher ranked team for the A grade, with all lower grades following suit for each final (i.e. all QF2 at the same ground)?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I reckon Porties did it last year and went within a kick or two of making the Grand Final, Valley might have done it also (finishing 5th or 6th) and making a prelim.

Happens quite regularly. Cove have did it about four years ago putting Noarlunga out in straight sets. Port have done it twice in a row, putting Cove out in straight sets two years ago, and doing the same to the Valley last year.
Every time some side goes out in straight sets someone else has made it to the Prelims from 5th to 8th.

Dead right. It was actually just two years ago. There were two sides that went out in straight sets (Happy Valley and Cove). Brighton and Porties both made it into the Prelims from 5th and 6th with the Bombers progressing to the Grand Final.
Its always a huge chance with the fifth side, because they are likely to meet the 4th side in the Semi. Take this year, and you will see that 4th and 5th can be very close --- Reynella and Cove ended up on the same points.

sorry spangy, but i agree with clops. except for the "emus by under a goal" bit. dont rekon anyone will get within 5 goals of the emus in the entire finals series.

having said that though mate, i hope i'm wrong! would love to see all close games and even a few upsets would be great! i just can't see it happening!
