That year was 2004. 1st and 2nd lost their qualies but bounced back in next 2 weeks to win through to GF. That being Emus and Bombers. All I can remember is Brighton and Porties playing an incredible Prelim at the Shoe with a 3 point margin to the Bombers. I can't remember if it was the Saturday or the Sunday. Porties had a great side that year. Some bloke named Booth from Port Magpies was a star.

If it is the booth I am aware of his name is Thomas but did not play for Port Magpies, he did play juniors at South , I think up to U/19 level

Tom Booth rings a bell. Somehow I thought he was on the Port Magpies senior list that year and actually played a few Reserves games.
