Big leak coming out of Edwardstown that says Gary Mutton will be the new coach in 2010. He'd want to bring about 20 players with him! & that is just to replenish the blokes that leave. Poor form from the EFC hierarchy if true not just the decision but more to the point the handling of the entire situation. Looks like a number of ex-Edwardstown people that are coaching elsewhere will have some quality knocking their door down for a game!

Why is it poor form? If the players had their heart and sole in the club, then they would put their trust in the committee to make the right decision. Sometimes things happen that raise eyebrows but if these players that are so called "leaving" got their head out of their ar$e and played for the jumper, then they might actually find that the new coach is a good one and more importantly a great bloke. Sometimes backward steps need to be taken to go forwards and tough decisions be made. Im sure matt was a great coach and a great bloke too, but the committee has to decided for change.

Because: It is plastered all over the website and Matt has not been told anything by the club. Because: it is now October 22 with still no "official" decision been given which gives Matt about a 1% chance of finding a coaching role for 2010 if that is what he wanted to do. I noticed the spelling of ar$e! Ha Edwardstown players get paid a pittance to that of rival clubs - blokes have stayed there for less than elsewhere because of the core group of guys that play at the club. Sole or soul? Anyway there's an explanation of the poor form reference...

Does anyone know what carries a greater fine in the SFL; Forfeiting a game OR exceeding the "player points" limit?

Exceeding player points, i would think, would lead to the loss of premiership points (for a win) and maybe percentage, i doubt any league would simply just fine a club for that.

Exceeding points = loss of points if a win and $1000.00 fine.

Got a phone call this morning saying that Keam ex Reynella will coach Towns in 2010. Would be surprised if Golding stayed to play?

Big Seb is going to be a massive loss for Morphy Parks. Has been approached by South (among other SANFL clubs) and according to the SANFL forum has also had substantial interstate offers.
