I have never left for money Nor have I ever chased it. I play for the love of the game and have left only due to not enjoying what I'm doing. Reason I'm at flaggy is I live within a km of the oval and knew a few people who played here. This is def my final resting place. What you pay your recruits a game would be close what I earn a season let alone a game. Surely even your not happy with what has happened at your club since the season ended

Have heard that Golding might be offered a coaching role in the country for good coin - might even end up being too good to refuse.

townies job has been field but its not mutts filling it I believe. But there is a twist as it may change as the coach in the position may fullfill another position. Also was told that the shoes have an absoulute $h*t load to spend in season 2010 from a source within. Also heard that size from cove has been offered $600 a game to play next year in a different league. I almost died from laughter when this was said. Can anyone confirm that this is a joke thats gone to far?

Size $600, wouldn't be a club in the Hills Central that wears blue, as I know of another ruckman that was offered $700 - $800 a game. They are obviously keen to get a ruckman but bugger me - thats a lot of money!

Big differences to when they last won a flag. The comp was no where near as strong back then. The current top 4 would have all accounted for the $hoe$ back then, so buying a flag is not an option these days imho. And if golding is their gun recruit then they will need to have 15 gun recruits because the guy is no superstar. Just a good player on his day at best.

If true I will be disgusted that Noarlunga have gone down this track again.

I think that it just shows that they acknowledge that Mitton can't coach.

Clearances should be available to any 1st year senior players missing out on a game because of these imports.

Very disappointed in the management down there in not sticking to the junior program. $-) $-) $-)

I'm not even a $hoes supporter but I seriously disagree, they were very good back then esp in 2001. You are justifying the strength of the comp now by how much money is getting paid. They had a number of great players (as did many clubs) playing for them that would dominate again these days should they have had the chance. Not to mention they were physically big and strong and not scared to belt the living s&%t out of you should you give them a opportunity.

I'm not Noarlunga fan but this premiership that they bought last time with one year wonders, is a bit of a myth I know every time i'm down there i see aprox 6 - 10 of those guys still around the club helping out.

You cant have only kids playing in a mans comp. they get intimidated so easierly, surely you need a mix of kids and men and the new rule will make sure some homegrown boys play every week thats the beauty of it.

Well said Panther. What If the Shoes pick up 3 recurits from one club, does this mean there raping that club come on you guys need to wake up to your self.If the rumor is true then goodluck to them if townies dont wont Golding to coach and Mitts has a knowledge of that wouldnt he not be doing his job properly in not looking in to it.So the Shoe pick up a few players what no other club in the legue is going to recurit.3 players arent going to stop a junior program, they might have lost some from last year.(retirements/moving interstate)etc.who knows but i would beleive the best way to develop kids is by sorounding them with quality players. Some of you blokes uneducated opinions just show how much lack of knowledge you have.
By the way im good mates with some of the boys down at the shoes and there would be at least 8 to 10 blokes who played in the flag in 2001 that are still involved in the club, good value for money when they have all hung around and made it THERE CLUB.roughly 10 years down the track.
