Perhaps "& pigs fly" has a comment on the new reynella property steward...........
and I think you will find there will be more happy emus than sad ones.......
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.

Scott hasn't shown much loyalty to m/vale over the years.
slops has his heart at m/vale, god knows what goes on in side his head some times.
[Don't think he knows him self.] Has up set a lot of people over the years.
good luck to both of them. Hope they find what they are looking for.
m/vale will survive with out them.

Maybe Early Wasnt happy with the People behind the scenes this year at Reynella? With these (alleged) 2 new appointments at least he knows exactly what he will get out of them!

On the other hand maybe things were ok and these position just happen to become vacant?? one thing is for sure if your a player down at the flies dont be expecting too many rub downs through out the year. Good luck to them both..... :D

What exactly is the role of a property steward down at reynella? Im pretty sure at most clubs the Team Manager carries out most duties relating to this role. Must of had extra ca$h this year in the budget to allow for slops coming on board.

You guys aren't bad at sinking the boot at someone leaving. I've found Slops and Scotty great blokes to deal with, real local footy people. Sure, people who volunteer for these types of roles often have some quirks (sometimes some big quirks), but clubs are lost without them. Maybe they're bored with success.

We had a fantastic loyal servant of our club leave us and is now involved with one of the enemy. We don't consider him a "spanner" for leaving and he is still held in the highest regard around our club.

At the minute your club is yet to prove it is committed to this youth policy, despite what you say.[/quote]

Spot on down the hill because people decide they need a change they are looked down upon there could be multiple reasons why these blokes left MV but to just rubbish them without knowing these reasons is just plain ignorance. I have nothing to do with MV or these 2 blokes but thought it was about time a different point of view was posted in regards to people wanting a change of club

There are a couple of famous Shoe names in that list!

But being commited doesn't mean playing them in a game or two, it means playing them over and above an older player past his prime that will be just as servicable or maybe only slightly better than the young fella playing for HIS club, not just his current club!

You cant be commited one week and not the next! That is being uncommited!!!!

I agree partly DTH, volunteers are hard to come by and should get great praise, however, some people are far more trouble than they are worth and often think they are bigger and more important than the club itself!

Clubs dont just need people, they need great people!

You still don't get where the posters are coming from with their comments SB!!!

You named 21 players there, now tell me, with all the new recruits coming in, who will not play B grade, all of a sudden for these 21 youngsters there is less and less spots in the A grade for them to develop better! 21 dont squeeze into 6-9 spots.
Thats the point people are making. Yes recruit 1 or 2 quality players to help them out, but dont go over the top and take their oppurtunities away.

P.S. what are your thoughts now they have given M. Irvine the flick?? he seemed to be on the right track. Will he stay involved or has he spat it? And hows mitts goin so far?

I understand your point,
But I will give you some points Irvine/Copestick/Beans/Miller/Carlyle/Goldfinch/Tasker played all or almost all year in the A grade and infront of S Alderman(runner up B grade medal) B Nyland former skipper and had a good 2009 Reeves and Cheese who tied for B grade B&F and I could go on for the reason that you pointed out.

No one is disagreeing with what you guys have been doing down there! Almost everyone thinks you are on the right track.

But it will be interesting to see what happens now that Mitton is back. Where will that leave these young guys? These same young blokes that have been there since the last Mitton period (cant call it an era, cause 1 in 4 is not that good). These same young blokes didn't take off somewhere else, they hung around when the going got tough and you guys were getting flogged! I would say that that shows more character than any recruit will bring!
