Pies eaten during a game huh?
A Morphies clug legend ( nameless ) ate 3 balfours pies and a bucket of chips in 1 quarter at full forward in 1985.
He also kicked 6 goals in said quarter.
Latest news at roo park: Seb signed by thae Eagles, Ruwolt gone, Longman gone- 3 quality players.

That must be a slap in the face for the people who have done some hard work last year to see that for the first session - Not good at all.
Where has Longy and Ruwoldt gone to Moe?
2 more big losses there - great quality players on top of Seb.
You lads had any signings for 2010

Don't know where rooey or longman have gone MR J
Signings thus far? Mr. Meuret has been very busy, at least 25 interviews with potentials. I think we have Christman(spelling ?) back from Central Districts.
You would be astounded what 19-20 year olds want to be paid. Back in my day Blokes like Ballard, Eddy or Mcdougall played for nix, and they were proven match winners. Some of these young posers should wake up.

Your right there Moe - it is amazing the amount that is offered to average players who have not done anything yet in their career - BUT unfortunately there is always a club out there that will pay the $$$. Very frustrating for sure. Gives you the shites actually. Longer they hold off from making a decision the more offers they will recieve & in turn the more money they will want. We've taken the approach 2 weeks to think about the offer made or offer off the table and move onto someone else. Has worked so far for us.

hey moe what happened at the grand with the brighton boys. and ten at first training is very dissapointing surely the club has to sit down and think about why the cant keep these good players for more then one or two years. And yes it is crap about everyone wanting money but if its out there and you can get it surely we cant knock these kids for chasing it

By the same token don't some clubs offer inflated amounts to players and drive what people think they are worth up?

Moe , Rams have a had a productive off season. 16 new players signed to the club already,7 Agrade quality, still trying to nail a few top end standard players at the moment. 46 players out to our first session Monday night and hoping to crack 60 tonight. On the up that is for sure - both A & B grade & filling all juniour grades this year. Exciting times

Lets just say, arrogance & big mouths have not won a flag yet for them and dirty tactics does not only apply to on the field.
10 at training very ordinary nothing more to be said. Marion with 46 at 1st session excellent. Not knocking kids for chasing $ but it could answer the question you posed above about keeping players for more than 1-2 years. This $$$$ chasing is killing clubs.
